it was ok
bookshelves: fantasy

Not bad in places...other times it's sort of a "puleez" book. Again Crichton has one that could have been better. The best I suppose I can say is..it wasn't as lame as the movie. So full of PC political rhetoric it seemed to me that any story got lost.

Xand50 Have you read the book recently? I just finished it I don't recall companies being portrayed as "always evil" in this book.

Mike (the Paladin) Just the view of "big business" it presents.

R4 "that they were made evil by evil humans" - but evil humans had great methods. Results after one thousand years!

Mike (the Paladin) Never thought of it that way. The training and breeding really seem to have taken. Good point.

R4 It's ironic. When I read about training apes, I was disappointed. If this book is science-fiction, after evil humans it's pure fantasy. And that apes evil at night and normal at day time... No comments.

message 6: by James (new)

James Actually by Michael Crichton's standards, the evil corporations here aren't as evil as Disclosure, Jurassic Park and Rising Sun.
