This is such a timeless classic!
It’s a must read for anyone who appreciates classic literature, scientific adventure or simply a good old-fashioned tale of courage and discovery.
If Jules Verne were alive today, he’d probably be the guy who insists the Wi-Fi router is buried beneath the Mariana Trench and sets off to retrieve it—with a reluctant nephew in tow. This book is exactly that kind of fever dream: a Victorian-era sci-fi where logic takes a backseat and lava-powered rafts are apparently a thing.
💬 Best Quote:
Verne clearly believed in dog-eared pages and wild imaginations.
Professor Otto Lidenbrock, the original I read it on Reddit so it must be true academic, discovers a cryptic message that suggests there’s a path to Earth’s core via an Icelandic volcano. Naturally, he drags his anxious nephew Axel and the stoic super-guide Hans on a descent that makes Dante’s Inferno look like a weekend hike.
Prepare to be transported to a world beyond imagination, a world that lies, perhaps just beneath your feet!

💬 Best Quote:
“Our principle is, that books, instead of growing mouldy behind an iron grating, should be worn out under the eyes of many readers.”

One of my favourite classic as well. So glad you enjoyed it too, Saranya! Jules Verne was wary ahead of his time. :)
