It’s been years since I read this and apparently Kathy Tyers re-wrote this version with a heavy Chrisitian message. I’ll have to see if I can get a hold of an older copy and read it.

Did you ever get a chance to re-read? Did it seem different? I read it back in the early 2000’s (before 2006 for sure) and just listened to the audiobook and it’s exactly as I recall so wasn’t sure what might have been changed

I was actually confused before, I thought this was the original and that she had written a new one, but this version is actually the rewritten one and there is an older version that was published in the late 1980’s. I have tracked down a copy from the 80’s and got it in the mail a little while ago, but I haven’t had a chance to read it yet.
