I used to think FEAST OF SNAKES was his best novel. I don't think that anymore.

Jeff Newberry THE GOSPEL SINGER is a stunning novel. I agree with you. I think it might be Crews' best.

Charles White yep. I had a friend say NAKED IN GARDEN HILLS is a contender, so I'm going to check that one out for my next Crews.
