I first read Breach in 2014, and I will never forget the emotions that this dark romance evoked in me. Breach is the first book in the Breach Series and believe me when I say, once you start this journey you will not want to stop! Now that I have had the opportunity to re-read this beauty, I can honestly say that Nathan and Lila were even sweeter the second time around. K.I. Lynn delivers a perfect blend of complex characters, an intricate plot, raw passion, and an epic romance.

Lila Palmer has done everything she can to maintain a structured way of life. Lila had a difficult upbringing, and the trauma has caused her to feel unworthy of love. Working hard in a law firm, she has tried to keep herself secluded in a bubble with her close friends, work, and her Friday night drinking binges. When her new office mate Nathan Thorne enters her life, his presence hits her like a tsunami.

Nathan Thorne is a damaged soul and yet, he exudes sexiness. He and Lila are drawn together like moths to the flame. A passionate, forbidden romance begins, and as they explore each other (thoroughly), the physical connection transforms into an emotional bond that breaks down their barriers and forges an unpenetrable force between the two. Lila and Nathan are desperate to keep their office affair intact and hidden from the world. Together they are like two broken people made whole. But when the two recognize the depth of their feelings for each other, Nathan fears for Lila's life and pushes her away. The pull between Nathan and Lila becomes stronger than ever as the reality of life apart rips them to shreds.

Told in dual POV, Breach is a stunning read with beautiful characters and a twisted plot. Nathan is the sexiest dirty talker I have ever read, and the passion he feels for Lila is intense and felt thoroughly throughout the read. The pacing of the read is heightened due to the sexual chemistry between Lila and Nathan and paired with the all-consuming emotional force that builds between them as the story unfolds it is undeniable that these two characters are meant to be together. Some of the trauma that Lila experienced was truly heartbreaking, and Nathan's demons are equally as painful. And yet, together they make each other whole. I adore these characters so much and watching them come together and break apart was something I will never forget. This beautiful broken story is full of passion and heart and some serious dirty talking!



Overall, I have long been a fan of K.I. and Breach is the story that started it all. I highly recommend this series to all of my contemporary romance fans that enjoy a little dark and a lot of dirty in their reads! Simply stated, everyone should experience Nathan Thorne. Just one taste of Mr. Thorne and you won't be able to stop until you get more. I am so glad I went back and re-read this epic work. I look forward to continuing the journey with Nathan and Lila. I will never get enough!
