I go back to the previous scene and begin to edit it. Usually by the time I reach the end of the scene, I'm ready to keep writing.

Other times, I stew over a scene, letting it simmer overnight. I can't tell you how many times I've awakened with the perfect solution in my head clamoring to be written.(less)
Barbara V. Evers I can indulge my fantasies and people pay me for it.

Welcome to 2025!

As a kid, I couldn't fathom the idea of living in the year 2000, yet here we are 25 years beyond that! My young brain could not imagine that far ahead. After all, I was going to be so old by 2000. (Not really, but you know how kids think.) Now, I really might be that kind of old, but I sure don't feel it. It's all about our mindset, right?Where is my mindset? Looking forward to this year's events

Barbara shared a quote
A simple but definite truth!
The Glasswrights Series by Mindy L Klasky
“She was merely a tool. And Rani knew all too well the fate of tools. How many times had she left her own grozing irons on her glasswrights’ table, the tips dirtied with lead solder? How many times had she ground an edge of glass with a diamond blade, only to toss the knife aside with casual disregard for its edge? How many times had she left lamp black on the bottom of her pestle, soiling the next color that she settled down to grind? Tools were not given an easy course in this world.”

A second chance story with a Call the Midwife slant. I love Call the Midwife, so this series called to me, and I wasn’t disappointed.

This book in the series introduced us to the remnants of the former Glasswright’s Guild and the zealous religious culture of the Biantans. Although I enjoyed these new elements, Rani’s refusal to recognize her most dangerous enemies frustrated me. I ...more
