Part three is from Nathan's mother's view. Brief, but gives another view of Portia though it's not very complimentary.

Part two is trying too hard to be different. Portia goes looking for her favourite teacher from high school. She discovers him on the brink of suicide, and makes it her mission to save him. The character of Mr Vernon is broken, but I feel Portia going to look for him is unrealistic.

Portia strikes me as someone desperate to make a difference. The parts from Mr Vernon's view are pretty miserable. The whole episode with his dog...not really appealing.

Not sure I'm warming to Portia, but the description of her first day class with Mr Vernon is interesting.

Ch1-3. Portia Kane finds her husband cheating on her with one of his porn-star actresses. We then see her on a plane, spilling her story to a nun. Odd.
