I'm on level 4, I have 22 hit points for my tank but I die in 2 hits from tank fire. I'm out. I don't see what chance I have compared to earlier levels.

First of all, my game for hardcore players. If you can't destroy the tank - change your tactics (eg, attack enemy from the rear), or choose more easy difficult level, or more carefuly choose upgrades for your unit. My girlfriend (she casual gamer, and dont play in shooters) no have problem with battle versus tanks.
I recommend first of all to upgrade the weapons, and then the tank protection. In addition, it is better to upgrade armor instead HP unit.
So you can use a special weapon, the skillful use of it will greatly facilitate the defense of the base, but it is expensive.
About browser - you need to use browser with OpenGL(WebGL) support. WebGL use for visual effects, maybe some effects not displayed.
Great game! i have nothing else to say you could improve on, i'm looking forward to seeing more works by you!
