In this chapter, you deployed and configured Event-Driven Ansible and various other components. You went through a multitude of prerequisites that helped solidify previous chapters by using Nautobot and AWX again. Finally, you executed an event-driven automation workflow to take the source of truth data in Nautobot and configure that intended state into the network. This is such a powerful mechanism within the network automation space, and EDA exposes a fantastic entry point into the event-driven space. Consider the endless possibilities that are exposed by this framework: automatic configuration changes triggered by certain conditions or compliance failures, triggering automated troubleshooting based on event notification from your observability platforms when an interface goes down or bandwidth dramatically changes, or finally, the next level where a message bus technology starts driving and stitching together multiple workflows at the same time without any human intervention...
