Issues fixed

Graphics settings revert to lowest values

This happens because the game assumes detecting more than 1024 MB of VRAM is due to an error, and therefore falls back to lowest possible graphics settings as a safety measure.
Use dgVoodoo 2 to run a virtual graphics card with limited VRAM
  1. Download dgVoodoo 2 and extract its archive.
  2. Open the extracted directory for dgVoodoo 2.
  3. Copy all .dll files from the MS\x86 directory and paste them in the root directory of your Cold Zero installation, for example: C:\Program Files\JoWooD\ColdZero.
  4. Run the dgVoodooCpl.exe program.
  5. Click the Add button near the Config folders list and select your Cold Zero installation folder.
  6. Select the DirectX tab and verify that in the Videocard list, dgVoodoo Virtual 3D Accelerated Card is selected.
  7. In the VRAM list, select 1024 MB.
  8. Click Apply and try to launch the game from the ColdZero.exe file.

Stretched 4:3 aspect ratio on other aspect ratios

Use dgVoodoo 2 to use centered scaling for full screen
  1. Assuming you already have dgVoodoo 2, open it and select Cold Zero's config folder.
  2. In the General tab, in the Appearance menu, select the "Centered" option from the scaling mode list.
