Wow Entertainment, Inc. was a Japanese development studio and a subsidiary of Sega.
The studio was established as SEGA AM1 in 1984, and they were known for producing numerous arcade games for Sega. The studio was renamed to SEGA R&D1 on May 11, 1991.
The restructure within Sega on April 21, 2000 saw SEGA R&D1 spun off into Wow Entertainment, Inc., a subsidiary company. On October 1, 2003, Wow Entertainment merged with Overworks and became Sega Wow.
