Game crash after TTG logo (CelebrityPoker.exe has stopped working)

Verify Steam cache^{[citation needed]}
Find Poker Night at the Inventory in your Steam Library Right click on it Click `Properties` Go to the `Local Files` tab Click `Verify Integrity of Game Cache`

Reinstall game^{[citation needed]}
Find Poker Night at the Inventory in your Steam Library Right click on it Click `Delete Local Content...` Once it's done deleting the game files, reinstall the game

Delete the preferences and save files^{[citation needed]}
Go to `%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Telltale Games\Poker Night at the Inventory\` Backup the files in this folder Delete `prefs.prop`, this will delete your preferences and create a new one in its place once you relaunch the game Relaunch the game If the game once again fails to launch, delete `pnati_save.save` from `%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Telltale Games\Poker Night at the Inventory\`

Go to the installation folder. Right-click `CelebrityPoker.exe` Click Run as administrator

Run in compatibility mode^{[citation needed]}
Go to the installation folder. Right-click on `CelebrityPoker.exe` Click Properties and then the Compatibility tab. Tick Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select `Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)` from the list. Once selected, click Apply and then OK to close the window. Launch the game.

When launching in Steam, the game doesn't launch

Game suddenly stops launching^{[citation needed]}

The game requires you to have at least one (1) output audio device.

If your PC does not have an onboard sound device, and you unplug headphones, Windows will report no audio devices. This will cause the game to crash.

Plug in headphones or enable a Bluetooth audio (output) device
Test the output (adjust the volume)
Launch the game

On every startup, popup asks for permission to run update of VC Redistributable

Delete install script^{[citation needed]}
Go to the installation folder. Delete or rename `31280_install.vdf`.

Add missing registry^{[citation needed]}

Steam fails to automatically add the proper registry value telling itself that the redistributable has already been installed for the game.

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Valve\Steam\Apps\31280.
From the Edit menu, add a new DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it vcredist.
Select the new value, then click Modify... from the Edit menu.
Change the "Value data" to 1, then click OK.
