Sand Land is a singleplayer action JRPG developed by ILCA and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is based on the ONA adaptation of the manga of the same name by the late Akira Toriyama.

The game was released on April 26, 2024 via Steam.

Ultra-widescreen Cutscene Fix

Manually modify the executable file
  1. Open <path-to-game>\SANDLAND\Binaries\Win64\SANDLAND-Win64-Shipping.exe in a hex editor (e.g. HxD).
  2. Search for 39 8E E3 3F as hex and replace all instances to have ultrawide cutscenes with 26 B4 17 40 for 2560x1080, 8E E3 18 40 for 3440x1440, or any other desired aspect ratio value converted to hex.
  3. Save the changes.

Issues unresolved

Shader compilation stutter

The game suffers from shader compilation related stutters, this occurs whenever a new effect is displayed and thus whenever a new shader has to be compiled.[4]
