Use inspector as per usual (open World in Conflict profile, etc.) and change flag 0x000B0000 to 0x00000032. There is also an 0x00000004 flag for even stronger HBAO+ effect.

    Verified using RTSS and the GOG copy of the game. The render API is changed through Options -> Graphics -> Advanced -> Use DX10 Rendering, or by setting the myDX10Flag to 1. Weirdly enough the GOG version resets the flag to 0 on each launch despite D3D10 otherwise working properly.
