Final Battle is the sixth and final Dandori Battle stage in Pikmin 4. It is a large asymmetrical stage in a toybox-like environment, with each team starting on opposite ends of a giant fort-like structure housing many enemies. In Story Mode, the opponent is Louie. In Dandori Battle mode is it unlocked by completing a match of Hot Sandy Duel. It has a time limit of 7 minutes.

How to reach[edit]

In the northeastern part of the Primordial Thicket, there are 2 potted mushrooms. Hitting the base of these with Oatchi's rush will make large platforms bloom above, which can be jumped between with Oatchi to reach a small plateau where Louie can be found, standing outside the entrance to this Dandori Battle.

Layout[edit]

This stage is asymmetrical and features several sections at different elevations. The bases are in the northeast and southwest corner, and in the center is a large fort with many enemies. Each player can get onto the fort in the center from just one ramp initially, but a paper bag can be pushed down from above to allow a second (and shorter) route up. The top of the fort is initially sparse, but a Baldy Long Legs spawns there in the middle of the battle, along with several treasures.

East of the southwest base there is a low area with several enemies and a pile of nuggets. A dirt wall separates this from another low area with several treasures, which is south of the northeast base. In the northwest corner there is a separate low area with more enemies, nuggets, and treasures, and this has direct access from the northeast base, but not the southwest base, unless a paper bag is pushed off a ledge from above.

The Sneak Bomb will appear at 3:00 remaining.

The second Bonus Find will be selected at 4:00 remaining.

Before doing anything else, clear the nearby Pellet Posies and bring the pellets back to your Onion. Final Battle is big, and the easiest way to lose is to stay stuck with a small squad while your opponent scales up.

The map revolves around the central fort. You can reach the top using one ramp at first, but you should push the paper bag shortcut from above as soon as you can. That extra route makes it much easier to intercept carries, rotate between areas, and contest the late spawns. There's also a separate low area in the northwest. If you start on the southwest side, opening access to that corner matters so you're not locked out of a whole chunk of points.

After your squad grows, focus on denying deliveries. This stage is great for stealing because the lanes are pretty readable and the space is confined around the fort routes. When you see something heading to the opponent's Onion, throw a few Pikmin onto it and redirect it to yours. Most opponents don't constantly fight over every single carry, so you can win a lot of points just by consistently interrupting their "deliveries".

Use Oatchi as your multi-tool. Knock down Zest Bombs early so they're available, and use him to ram through lanes and disrupt carries while your Pikmin keep working. If you've upgraded Buff, he can contribute a lot of carrying strength and help you keep more Pikmin free for stealing and harvesting. Still, don't assume he can solo everything. The Golden Sniffer is heavy and needs a real carrying group.

Watch the big changes as the battle progresses; with 4:00 remaining, Baldy Long Legs spawns on the fort. If your opponent commits hard, you can either fight for it or use the distraction to clean up nuggets and treasures elsewhere. At 2:00 remaining, the Golden Sniffer appears. This is often match-deciding, so try to be in position early with enough carriers to secure it immediately.

Finally, treat the Gold Nugget piles like a background income stream. Assign a steady group to nuggets while your main squad controls the fort routes and steals. If you leave nuggets untouched, you'll spend the last minutes trying to catch up instead of winning cleanly.

Notes[edit]

Corgwin's menu[edit]

Winged Pikmin, Glow Pikmin, and Oatchi must all work together in this stage. It's a fitting venue for the culmination of all your Dandori training!

Dandori Battle menu[edit]

This is a spacious Dandori arena with plenty of height differential. Use your Pikmin and pup strategically if you want to be the winner.
