🚀 Launching memorr.ai: Say Goodbye to AI Amnesia! Hey PH Community! I'm Riadh, the creator of memorr.ai, and I’m super excited to launch here today! Like many of you, I heavily rely on LLMs (GPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity) for long-term projects. But we've all been frustrated by the limited context window: after 20-30 messages, the AI inevitably forgets what you said at the beginning. It feels like talking to someone with short-term amnesia. I built memorr.ai to solve this persistent pain point: 🧠 Permanent Memory for Your AI We turn your conversation into editable, permanent memories. The Memory Canvas: These context summaries are generated automatically or manually on the right side of your chat window. Total Control: You can modify, delete, or put them to sleep (toggle off) to ensure the AI always has the exact context it needs. Architected for Coherence: We use a RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) system behind the scenes so the AI only consults the relevant memories before answering, guaranteeing infinite coherence, even after 100+ messages. 🔒 Built for Trust and Power Users For advanced users and professionals, privacy and control are essential: BYO-API (Bring Your Own API): You use your own key for Gemini, GPT, etc. You pay for your tokens directly, with no middleman. Local Storage: All your memories are encrypted and stored only on your machine (Mac & Windows). We don't have a database. If you’re tired of re-contextualizing your AI, I hope you’ll give memorr.ai a try! I look forward to reading your questions and feedback. What is the most frustrating long conversation you’ve had with an AI due to context loss? Thanks for the support! Riadh

Great idea. So how do developers interact with this tool?
Congrats on the launch!

Hello @chilarai

That's a fantastic question—thank you! We designed memorr.ai specifically with developers and power users in mind.
The primary interaction for developers is taking total control of the context architecture:

Architecture Control (The RAG Loop): Developers can ensure their LLM (via their own API key) is fed the exact context required. If the automated summary misses a crucial piece of technical debt or a specific variable name, they can jump into the Canvas and edit the Memory Card manually. This guarantees the AI's coherence where simple auto-summaries often fail on complex code.

Privacy for Code & Specs: Because all memory data is stored locally on their Mac/Windows machine (BYO-API model), developers can confidently discuss sensitive code snippets, internal specs, or proprietary information without sending context summaries to any third-party database (including ours).

Efficiency and Cost: Developers running extensive coding sessions or documentation projects save significantly on tokens. Instead of sending 50 messages of history, memorr.ai only injects the relevant, 1KB memory summary into the RAG prompt, optimizing costs and latency.

In short: It's a visual RAG system that puts the human in control of the memory for strict, long-term technical projects.

We're already seeing devs use it to document complex codebases and maintain consistent logic across sprints.

What kind of development project are you currently working on that requires deep context? I'd love to hear about it!

I do think you need to prove that it works, suggests prompt revision. But good start and idea!

Hello @osakasaul
I completely understand your skepticism, and you're hitting on the core of why memorr.ai exists—to solve the problem of long-term memory loss over days or weeks!

Here is how our architecture provides that structural proof, eliminating the need for long testing periods:

  1. The Memory is Separated (Permanent Storage): Unlike regular chatbots where memory is only the chat history (which gets flushed), memorr.ai creates Memory Cards. These cards are saved permanently and locally on your machine. They are static files that the AI cannot forget unless you delete them.

  2. RAG System Guarantees Persistence: When you ask a question, our system uses RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) to search through those permanent Memory Cards and inject the relevant information into the prompt. The AI is forced to consult this permanent memory source, regardless of how many days have passed or how short the context window is.

  3. Instant Proof Test: You can prove this persistence right now. Create a Memory Card with a key detail. Close the app. Reopen it a week later. Ask the AI about that detail. The AI will answer correctly because the Memory Card is still there, ready to be consulted. The history is fluid; the Memory is structural.

The memory is not in the chat; it's in the local knowledge base you control. That's the difference!

Thank you for pushing me to clarify this critical point. It's the strongest argument for memorr.ai.
