What do you think? …

Seems like this will be a separate Windows Store download, rather than baked-in (and is certainly not an update to the existing cmd interface). Not a big issue, but given how many random client windows servers I login to during a year, it would be nice if this was just included in the OS

@rossdcurrie Agreed, it feels like it would just make sense to be OS native.

Ooooh multi tab support and emoji support, arguably not the most important factors, but I like.

"the terminal windows users deserve"

Pros:

WSL 2 is supposed to work. where WSL 1 did not

Cons:

still unpublished

This was the No. 1. thing missing from Windows. Being a Developer I prefered Macbook over pc mostly because of this. I hate all that powershell and cmd ones. I will definitely consider buying Windows in future if this is released for production use and comes by default with Windows. Thanks Mircrosoft.

Would be nice that it became baked in and an official part of windows, as right now there is always the chance of the it just being dropped since you still need to download it form a separate app store. But still, a saving grace from the default windows terminal if you're not using any custom apps already.
