II. Rationale

JHS SSG President As the pandemic becomes the main issue that hinders our

Council Forest Watch, in 2020, the Philippines lost a total of 46.8 kha of natural
forest, equivalent to 27.4Mt of CO2 emissions.

III. Objectives

The MANGROVE/ COASTAL CLEAN UP AND NURTURING aims to achieve the following
objectives:

• Guide each one of us and to remind us about the unity we need to obtain in
towards attaining a healthy and green world;
• Promote and cultivate in the mind of the youth how important it is to mitigate the
undying effects of climate change that is affecting every living thing here on
Earth;
• Inculcate the spirit of teamwork, cooperation, and helpfulness in each and every
one;
• To give an opportunity for the officers to experience real-life scenarios and teach
them the roles and accountabilities their positions handle;
• More importantly, it aims to plant 500 saplings of trees in order to help the Earth
combat and mitigate the effect of climate change and in order to increase and
replace the number of trees that was deforested due to natural calamities and
human activities.

IV. Date and Venue

The MANGROVE/ COASTAL CLEAN UP AND NURTURING will be divided into two dates,
the first part will happen on NOVEMBER 06, 2021 while the second part will happen on
NOVEMBER 27, 2021 at Coastal and Fisheries Learning Resources Center, Baybay, Tiwi, Albay.

• The Executive and Organizing Committee shall do the following tasks:
1. Organize the participants during events.
2. Inform each and every one regarding the details of the events.
VII . Methodology

The participants together with the organizers will be planting a total of 150 saplings of
mangrove trees at the Coastal and Fisheries Learning Resources Center, Baybay, Tiwi, Albay.
A total of 100 participants will participate in the said activity.
