CSS INSTRUCTOR
ROUTER CONFIGURATION
SERVER PC
Press WINDOWS + R Then ENTER
Type “cmd” Then ENTER
Type “ipconfig” Then ENTER
When the Default Router is Connect, Press CLOSE (x)
Double Click or Open Browser (Google Chrome or Internet Explorer)
TYPE in the Search bar 192.168.0.1 – Default IP Address for Router (ex)
Username: admin
Password: admin
Click WIRELESS
Click WIRELESS SETTINGS
Change SSID or Wireless Network Name: JCOURSE2021 – ex
Click SAVE
Click REBOOT
Click OK
Wait to Reboot the Router…
Click WIRELESS
Click WIRELESS SECURITY
Click WPA-WPA2 PERSONAL (Recommended)
Change Password: Jcourse12345 – ex
Click SAVE
Click OK
Click “click here”
Click OK
Click REBOOT
Click OK
Wait to Reboot the Router…
After Rebooting the Router, Click CLOSE (x)

PEER-TO-PEER CONNECTION SET-UP


SERVER PC
Press WINDOWS + R Then ENTER
Type “cmd” Then ENTER
Type “ipconfig” Then ENTER
When the Default Router is Connect, Press CLOSE (x)
Click “Open Network and Sharing Center”
Click “Local Area Connection”
Click “Properties”
Double Click “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
 Use the following IP Address:
IP address: 192.168.0.101 – ex
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 – ex
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
Preferred DNS Server: 192.168.0.101 – ex
Click OK (2x)
Click CLOSE
Click Close (x)
Press WINDOWS + R
Type “cmd” Then ENTER
Type “ipconfig” Then ENTER
Type “ping 192.168.0.101” Then ENTER
When ping replied “Reply from 192.168.0.101: bytes=32 time=3ms TTL=128”
“Reply from 192.168.0.101: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=128”
“Reply from 192.168.0.101: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=128”
“Reply from 192.168.0.101: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=128”
Click Close (x)

CLIENT PC
Press WINDOWS + R Then ENTER
Type “cmd” Then ENTER
Type “ipconfig” Then ENTER
When the Default Router is Connect, Press CLOSE (x)
Click “Open Network and Sharing Center”

Click “Properties”

Type “ping 192.168.0.105” then ENTER
When ping replied “Reply from 192.168.0.105: bytes=32 time=3ms TTL=128”
“Reply from 192.168.0.105: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=128”
“Reply from 192.168.0.105: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=128”
“Reply from 192.168.0.105: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=128”
Click Close (x)

WIRELESS CLIENT PC (LAPTOP)


Press WINDOWS + R Then ENTER
Type “cmd” Then ENTER
Type “ipconfig” Then ENTER
When the Default Router is Connect, Press CLOSE (x)
Click “Open Network and Sharing Center”
Click “Wireless Network Connection (JCOURSE2021)”
Click “Properties”
Double Click “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
 Use the following IP Address:
IP address: 192.168.0.106 – ex
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 – ex
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
Preferred DNS Server: 192.168.0.101 – ex
Click OK (2x)
Click CLOSE
Click Close (x)
Press WINDOWS + R
Type “cmd” THEN ENTER
Type “ipconfig” Then ENTER
Type “ping 192.168.0.106” Then ENTER
When ping replied “Reply from 192.168.0.106: bytes=32 time=3ms TTL=128”

PEER-TO-PEER CONNECTION:
