CONTEST
MECHANICS
FOOD PRODUCT DISPLAY

Mechanics:
1. Open for Kinder, Grades 1, 2 and 3.
2. There should be 1 entry per Grade level.
3. Display: Minimum of 5 kinds of products in
each food groups (Go, Grow & Glow).

Criteria:
1. Relevance of products to Primary Food
Groups (30%)
2. Awareness on Nutritional Value of the
displayed products (30%)
3. Variety of displayed products (20%)
4. Arrangement and Creativity (20%)
COOKING CONTEST

Mechanics:
1. Open for Grades 4, 5 and 6.
2. There should be 1 entry per Grade level.
3. The group shall be composed of 5 chefs per
entry.
4. There should be 1 adult chef to supervise each
group to ensure the safety of the pupils.
5. Dish to cook will be “Ginataan”. The main
ingredient shall be decided by each of the group
but is not limited to fish, chicken, pork, beef and
shrimps. Nutritional value should be considered.
6. A full lunch course shall be prepared.
However, only the main course shall be prepared
on the spot. Rice, side dishes and beverages are to
be prepared beforehand by the adult chef.

Criteria:
1. Taste and Nutritional Value (40%)
2. Visual appeal (30%)
3. Originality and Creativity (20%)
4. Overall Presentation (10%)
TABLE SETTING

Mechanics:
1. Open for Grades 7, 8, 9 and 10.
2. There should be 1 entry per Grade level.
3. The group shall be composed of 5 students per
entry.
4. All materials should be provided by the
participants.

Criteria:
1. Correctness (30%)
2. Personal presentation (20%)
3. Originality of concept (30%)
4. Visual appeal (20%)
POSTER MAKING

Mechanics:
1. Open for all Elementary students.
2. The poster must illustrate, interpret and
emphasize the theme
3. All artworks must be done on the spot and
must be completed within the allotted time of two
(2) hours.
4. The poster must be done in free hand using the
following materials (to be provided by
contestant): ¼ size illustration board, pencils, oil
pastel/ crayons, marker
5. The theme for the poster making shall be:
“Ani ng Sining, Bunga ng Galing”

Criteria:
1. Creativity/presentation (40%)
2. Originality (30%)
3. Relevance (30%)
SOAP CARVING

Mechanics:
1. Open for Grades 7, 8, 9 and 10.
2. There should be 1 entry per Grade level.
3. The group shall be composed of 2 students per
entry.
4. All materials should be provided by the
participants.

Criteria:
1. Difficulty (30%)
2. Effort (20%)
3. Time Completion (30%)
4. Visual appeal (20%)
