SIWES was established by the ITF in 1973 to solve the problems of lack of
adequate practical skills preparatory for employment in industries by the
Nigerian graduates for tertiary institutions.
The scheme exposes student to industrial based skills necessary for a smooth
transition from the classroom to the outside world of learning. It offers
