While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Promised a refund on recorded call but never paid

1881 is a predatory trap. Simply downloading the app triggered a hidden 49 NOK monthly Strex charge without any SMS or "Purchase" confirmation. I have a 17-minute voice recording from Dec 22nd where their agent admitted fault and promised a 196 NOK refund to my bank account. It has been 6 weeks and I have received nothing. They broke their verbal contract and the staff even laughed at my frustration. Truly dishonest business. Avoid!

Some companies are Mafia operations in Norway…

I got a bill for 45 kr for yesterday from 1881.no. But I was so busy with my job yesterday and I can't possibly spend time on my mobile phone to check some telephone numbers! Where comes the bill? Some companies in Norway have in the last few years become typical Mafia operations. This has happened before. I hope 1881.no is not following those. Otherwise, it will be a big Shame.

But where's the government agencies whose job is to protect the consumers?! There're too busy to kiss the dirty ass of the big companies!
