Good leanring material, want more coding less theory

Good explanation, I like how the hole conscept of the website has been build. I get to have certificates to add on my portfolio. Learn usefull skill that are classified based on the branch of the career you want to follow. In my opion its not perfect on the learning side becouse i would like momre coding and less theory. Also there are some problems that are not affecting the function of the course but make it more defficault to keep up. Over all you can learn its programming leanguage but cannot master it.

Dishonest and scam-like pricing and billing model, with seemingly intentionally unhelpful support

A couple of things before I start.

The tools by this company are provided via web page. I did not see an available app.

I would advise, based off of what I'm going to explain, not to use the service.

I will try to be concise as not to lose your attention.

I saw that this service was on sale. I had been seeing lots of ads on Facebook for CodeFinity teaching python and I thought it would be worth a try at the reduced price.

The price that is normally around $200 was reduced to $96. I purchased it and was ready to go.

There was a screen that asked if I wanted to use the Python package or something along those lines. That's what I had clicked into, and I had just paid, so yes. That's what I'm choosing to use.

I clicked a button and it got started.

I then received notifications that I was charged $96 and $103.

Looking more closely at the order information the next day, at some point along the way they tacked on $103. I found out later from their support that this was for an upgrade. Apparently when I clicked that I wanted the Python package, I was immediately charged.

There was no check out.
There was no question as to whether or not I was sure about the purchase, stating that it would cost me $103.

It just charged me immediately.

It's funny because that $103 is almost exactly $96 plus tax. So at first when I saw the $103 I thought that was the price with tax but it didn't make sense because my original order did not show tax.

A day or two later, I contacted their support because I had seen that it was two charges. I spoke to their support person and they were immediately helpful about removing the $103 stating that I could stay on their platform and everything would be unlocked for me at $96.

I had already seen their money back guarantee which is absolutely ridiculous. Effectively, you have to use codefinity for 28 days and then after those 28 days, they verify whether or not you spent those 28 days using their service before accepting that you can get a refund. It seems basically impossible to guarantee and for a service that you find you don't like or can't learn from, you have to spend 28 days anyway using it. So let's say it's miserable and you realize that within the first 3 days. You don't get your money back unless you spend 25 more days using it.

Still, I contacted support and asked them for a refund because I had not used their service, and wouldn't be using their service, and they refunded the $103. However, I asked for a full refund including the $96. We went back and forth several times where they pretended they didn't understand what I was asking for repeatedly reiterating that they had already refunded my $103 and that they are being good enough to allow me access to their website in full with no upgrade charge.

They referred to it as the accidental upgrade charge.

I told them that I felt their practices were dishonest and explained why multiple times. That was why I wanted a full refund. I would not support their company because it's obvious, especially looking back over reviews on Reddit, that it is their intent to this even you into believing you are getting access to their site at a discounted rate only to upcharge you as soon as you go in without notifying you that it's happening.

We went back and forth for a while. I remained calm and patient. By the end of my patience I made it clear that it would be my last communication and the next communication they got from me would be via the better Business bureau.

They demonstrated they had understood what I wanted the whole time and immediately refunded my $96 as well.

Is a scam for a service that should not require scamming people. They simply just can't help themselves to your money.

I would suggest looking elsewhere for programming practice.

The service is very good. Be careful to read the contract: they will hold you to it even if you stop using the service, unless you cancel the service through their portal 24 hours your next bill. Be advised.
