Well, I didn't like the first 30 Day Beginners Lessons at all. I felt like they were more intermediate level and could not do most of the lessons. I actually asked for a refund at that point because I thought it was going to only get harder from that point and I was already over my head. Even though I was well within the 30-day grace period, they would not refund my money. Since I could not afford to pay for another set of lessons that I would like better I had to stick with DBO. So now I am stuck with them!

Wonderful guide to playing drums. Easy to understand, clean website, great pricing, helpful and I would highly recommend. I've tried many drumming sites and found this to be the best one so far no matter if you're a beginner, intermediate, etc.

My experience with drum Beats online was really fun and helpful. The lessons were easy to follow, and I noticed improvement in my timing pretty quickly. It's a great resource for drummers at any level.

I will be 70 yrs old in a few weeks and have just started drumming 4/5 months ago.
I struggled a bit on my own with it until I joined DBO, what a revelation it was.
A terrific web site with fantastic video instructions, clear and easy to follow with a structured path for progress.
Also, a great drumming community to be part of if you wish

I have signed up with DBO Academy because i needed guidance and technique. Both were achieved and i have no regrets purchasing the lifetime membership.
As a novice, i realized that i needed more framing in my practice schedule and i did not know how to achieve this.
Gabe Helguera is a great communicator and teacher and it is obvious he has what it takes to make you progress.

On another note, the point system is sort of a motivator but has its flaws, not accounting for lessons watched is not kool but still i understand why.

The challenges are great and made to push you to improve,

If you're deciding between Drumeo and DBO Academy, go with DBO! I've tried both, and DBO has taken my drumming to a whole new level, and at the pace I was hoping for. Gabe is incredibly articulate in breaking down material in a way that’s both visually clear and easy to understand. Don't get me wrong, the lessons can be very challenging, which is actually what I love most about DBO. Without that challenge, I wouldn’t be growing at the rate I am now. We’re so lucky to have a community built by someone so passionate about his craft and generous with his knowledge. No gatekeeping here, just honest, inspired teaching. Thanks for all that you do, Gabe!!

I look forward to Gabe’s lessons every day. Super easy to follow and I like the consistency of always learning from the same teacher. The video edits keep the classes dynamic and the short lengths of each keep me feeling like I’m accomplishing something. The site never feels overwhelming. Tons of value for the cost. 10/10 big recommend.

I love it on DBO. It is the best community on the internet. The lessons are awsome and has made me into a drummer in less than 30days. I am starting with my 2nd song already. DBO is the fast track to better drumming!

Using DBO has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Gabe is amazing at teaching the drums. He has a perfectly setup lesson plan that teaches you what you need to know when you need to know it! The beat mapper tool is also amazing as it helps so much when you need to hear what a groove, beat, fill, and anything else should sound like! 10/10 best drum lessons online!

Joined up after a free week of lessons. The lessons are structured and organized as well as personalized for the student. Instructors are excellent. Gabe does a great job of keeping me inspired and wanting to learn more. Seeing huge gains in only a month. The group setting allows you to learn from others as well.

DBO Academy has been great for me! I recently got interested in playing drums and bought a practice pad and some sticks. I came across Gabe and DBO on YouTube and tried some sample lessons and really was impressed! Gabe has laid out several courses for all levels of players that guide you through the learning process step by step and gives you simple grooves and fills to start with and songs to play along with at your level.
I've gradually increased my skills and greatly increased how much i enjoy playing. Thanks, Gabe!
