Worst experience

My understanding of going to a nail salon is that it is meant to be a form of self care and a moment to relax and do something nice for yourself. Instead I felt like I was there to serve them.

My hands and arms were repeatedly pulled and forced into awkward positions while the staff sat comfortably. I was made to feel at fault for not holding my muscles in the exact positions they wanted and the staff became passive aggressive when I was not relaxed enough, even though the positions themselves were uncomfortable and unnatural. Rather than being guided or supported, I felt criticised for something that should never be the client’s responsibility.

What should have been a calming and enjoyable experience turned into a physically and mentally draining chore. I left with an aching back and sore arms, feeling tense rather than relaxed, which completely defeats the purpose of booking a nail appointment.
