They closed the ticket saying it’s over a week so I have to upgrade to premium to speak to a human unreal to do that at least follow the rules wait at least the week .
Very low level to make money .
They claiming I didn’t replay to the information , you send email Thursday and closed the case Tuesday not even a week to replay . While your policy says 1 week to replay so where’s the week . After I want to replay you don’t accept email . So I logged in to replay to your support . As you closed the case under a week you asking me to upgrade so I can speak to a human how comes you don’t play with your own rules

I have been using free web store for over 5 years now and absolutely love it!
I used the free version for over 3 years with no problem what so ever it was fantastic to get my sales off the ground.
I upgraded for a few extra features but could have easily carried on with the free version.
I haven’t needed much support but the couple of times I had some questions I got replies within 24hours.
I find the platform easy to use unlike others I have tried. I also like being able to make quick edits on my phone which you are not able to do on other platforms.
I also have lots of product options which this platform accommodates again unlike others I have tried. I have wasted so much time and effort on other platforms and always come back to free webstore as it is truly the best for my needs.
Bumbles Pampered Paws is what it is today thanks to this platform & I shall continue to use it for my business going forward.

I had a good website but without any warnings and while I was on vacation I had come back to my account and it wasn't at all no longer their. Then I had checked my email and saw that I had gotten a message from them saying that my account would be deactivated and deleted within a few days but I wasn't at all aware regarding about this fact. They have deactivated and deleted my account and everything and have stolen my website domain PatriotsEdge.us that no longer goes to our website webstore anymore. I have contacted them regarding about this matter and have not received anything back from them yet and it's now going on almost a year. Yeah you are way better off going elsewhere than to using their thriving ways. I have lost my website domain and my website webstore and I had already paid them for the whole year too!. I was totally and completely ripped off by these crooks. I highly recommend that you don't use them at all and to go elsewhere instead. To this very day I still haven't heard nothing at all from them or anything for them to getting my account back up. I haven't heard nothing from them in months and they will not return my email massages. Please don't be a fool for their thriving ways and please, please do go somewhere else instead. I give them zero stars.

So let me start by saying that I have done my website on 3 different, "top" rated hosts to date. I was desperate to find one that actually works well, integrates well, and does what it says without having to "add on" a thousand (costly usually) apps just to get all the features I needed. I FOUND IT. This is THE platform and I would suggest it for anyone, even newbies. It is very easy to use and set up. I ran into one glitch (this was NOT their fault, it was FB). I sent in a ticket and they fixed it for me right away. No ands, ifs or buts, or you need to have paid for support blah blah blah. Not to mention it is HALF THE PRICE of the other cheapest one that is super popular that I used. OH and I could NEVER get traffic to my site on the other ones but amazingly I already have traffic on this one with NO EXTRTA COST. I will never leave this platform.

I am currently in the 5th month of a one year paid upfront contract with GoDaddy and the online store hasn't worked since the day it was published. I spend hours with them daily trying to get them to sort it out as there are data integrity issues their end that they will not sort out; just won't escalate to a higher level team, so I was looking for a new online store provider and found that shopify and wix were too hard for me to use. I then came across freewebstore . So easy to use (for me!) and for a free online store the functions are amazing, yes limited as it's FREE! I would not expect more being FREE! I had just finished uploading the entirety of one of my categories, when I noticed that I had put some products on twice by mistake. I deleted from inventory but they were still showing on the online store. This is one of the 5 issues I have with Go Daddy so my heart sank. I raised a ticket for support, thinking that I would once again have a store that didn't work BUT .. Anna responded immediately and within 10 minutes the issue was resolved. I was totally gobsmacked! Someone helped me .. after 5 months of a brick wall with Go Daddy, I received help. It's now the next morning and I am so thrilled to have received help! I didn't realise how totally disheartened I had become with my current paid service provider and how easily issues could be resolved .. so, no more begging for help, no more pleading with a company to do something .. I just told Freewebstore the issue and they fixed it .. !! And I pay nothing for this service! BUT I will be paying and I will be staying. Thank you, I have once more hope that I will have a fully operative online store and the nightmare that I have had with Go Daddy can be far behind me!

Between 24th August and 13th September 2025, I had a deeply negative experience with Freewebstore which has left me unable to recommend their platform.
Freewebstore promotes itself as a “free” solution for small businesses, but in reality, many of the most basic and essential features are locked behind paid plans. What is advertised as free turns out to be restrictive and limiting — preventing you from running a professional online store unless you upgrade. A truly “free” service should be transparent about what is included and what is not.
One of the most concerning aspects was how my independently owned domain was treated. Despite the fact that I own my domain outright through a separate provider, Freewebstore created the impression that they could interfere with it unless I upgraded. This kind of pressure tactic is unfair and left me feeling uncomfortable, as no company has the right to suggest control over something they neither sold nor own.
Support was another major disappointment. Rather than professionalism, I was met with dismissive replies that belittled my concerns and ignored my questions. For a platform claiming to empower small businesses, their unwillingness to offer genuine human support is shocking. AI bots or email tickets are not enough — 24/7 human live chat support should be a basic, included feature, not something customers are forced to pay extra for. Ironically, Freewebstore openly promotes AI on its own website, yet has accused me of “using AI” in my reviews — a baseless and false claim intended to silence valid criticism.
When I raised complaints directly — including sending several emails addressed to the CEO — I was ignored. Instead of engaging constructively, my account access was restricted after I refused to accept the changes and pressures being forced on me. Customers should never be punished simply for voicing valid concerns.
This experience revealed several issues that every potential user should know:
Lack of transparency – features advertised as “free” are withheld unless you pay.
Pressure tactics – implying control over domains they do not own.
Unprofessional support – dismissive responses rather than solutions.
Reliance on AI over people – charging extra just to speak to a real human being.
Account restriction – silencing customers who raise fair complaints.
Data privacy concerns – I have requested full deletion of my personal data, which I expect to be confirmed in writing.
Freewebstore’s public replies to criticism have also been unprofessional, even mocking customers by name instead of addressing issues seriously. This behaviour is childish, dismissive, and damaging to trust. No customer should feel silenced for giving honest feedback.
My advice to fellow small business owners is simple: protect your domain, protect your data, and be cautious before trusting this platform with your business. A company that cannot handle criticism transparently and respectfully is not one I can recommend.

The service and support were okay. There were numerous shortcomings, with no realistic timeframe for features our company needed. We had a PAID startup subscription to remove their branding for freewebstore, BUT their branding was still on our transactional emails. As a paying customer, that's a no.
*Updated to from 3 stars to 1 star because of your response and due to lack of investigation and authenticity. I have proof that your brand were on my transactional emails. Customer support was contacted concerning the email branding and they told me I needed to upgrade to a higher plan. Human support went down hill as if they don't care about PAYING clients. What I don't appreciate is a lack of transparency and genuine support.

I have been with them for well over 10 years. I can say there have been hiccups, which are often results from the updates done to the system- for the most part they have been reliable and cost effective for me. I have also tested the WordPress and Shopify, and I can say FreeWebStore is the best when it comes down to listing products, the other ones are way more limited. I went from a free user to a Ridge, it is costly- but I get all the features.

The refund fee is 5% of your subscription price. the purchase on my debit card hasn't even completed processing yet. how is that not to be viewed as a scam? there is no phone number-which there doesn't have to be but does add to reputable{i blame myself for not investigating more before making my purchase. hopefully this review assisted someone else. as each person experience is there own n' this one is what i experienced}. there is no follow this instruction page anywhere on your site for a refund there is no this is how our ai works WHEN its common for majority of sites to just section off where one wishes to create you see the icon indicating ai is avaliable and ai is avaliable overall at top of the site where you are buiding duda, godaddy, shopify, ionos, webador, domainking{all which also gives 3 day, 5 day or pro rated return AND ITS POSTED ON THEIR SITE} all of them are as that and within each section that STATES AI GENERATED with a icon! so i never even got to use any of the benefits, not logged in since and yet you're takin OVER half of the purchase price? it is a business. I started on the free plan, which was useful for me to have a play around with the features. I upgraded to the basic plan, at £18 a month I must say it’s an absolute bargain. I’ve had no issues at all, have found the whole experience very user friendly, and look forward to building my business further.

Freewebstore is only good as a free web service. Nothing more!
You have to "upgrade" to get other functionality and when you actually upgrade, functionalities are extremely limited, ridged and basic. For example, your customer can't reserve an item or the templates are so basic and inflexible that you can't add a paragraph. Shame really!

Where do I start? If you want any decent features you have to pay. No free trial for premium. I try to ask their uneducated bot a question, it doesn't know the answer. The help section tells the dimensions for images on the section you're working on so you resize them just to have it be wrong. I give up and I'm done. I go to try to find billing and delete my debit card, it's nowhere to be found. The bot says it may be due to the layout I'm using. What the hell does that mean? They're scammers. They have the balls to tell me I'm having a meltdown. THEY/YOU can get on here and feed the public all the crap you want with your ignorant reply to me but it doesn't matter. This stays put. You people are nuts and your service sucks.
REBUTTAL: Friendly support team??? Lol. Maybe I should put a screenshot of your emails up here? Like I said, your reply is a joke just like your company. Have the future you deserve. And BTW, nothing false has been said.

I see the negative comments on here, and can honestly say really surprised. I have used FWS to set up a few websites over 20 years and have never had any issues with ease of use, or support from them, it's always been 5 star service. I can only speak as I find and it's all good this end.

No one assist you when you reach out to ask a serious question. All they do is send a short message that doesn't answer the question.
I've been trying for five days to transfer my domain name over to Shopify and freewebstore has locked all of my information so I can't transfer to Shopify.
A rep. of freewebstore even spoke down about Shopify. I told the rep. Anna that it was very unprofessional to down talk another company just because you want someone to stay with a monthly fee. No one has helped me in any way. I would not recommend freewebstore if you want to start a business. There is no one to speak to directly. I started off with Wix and should have stayed with them. I created my own Domain Name when I was with Wix. The freewebstore is trying to force me to stay with them, but this gives me more reasons to leave. I would suggest Shopify or Wix. Wix has upgraded a lot of there online features.

I'm amazed at how good this site is. I have set up a free site and once I had worked out how to use it I couldn't believe how many features are available for free. I notice that most of the poor reviews on here are to do with support issues, and one even gave a one star review because it wasn't available in their country! I may have an advantage as I was a software developer for nearly 40 years so used to designing websites, but any questions I did have were answered on the comprehensive Freewebstore Help pages.
