Purchased a 5KW Arklow stove 3yrs ago and cannot praise it enough, the heat they produce consistently for hours is far greater than an open fire, haven't purchased home heating oil since I got it installed, just leave doors open and heat will travel around
Plus you don't have that open hole in the roof which heat escapes from. My only regret is not purchasing the enamel finish.

Zero Customer Service Or Accountability

Waiting since before Christmas for an order. Henley seem to be in no hurry to deliver anything. Still left waiting. Henley are blaming DPD & and the retail outlet I ordered from. No one at Henley appears to be willing to be accountable for the poor service. I paid extra for a service and Henley too their sweet time.

I had a great experience

I had a great experience. I ordered a stove which proved to be faulty. I contacted Henley, a replacement was sent (all the way to Orkney) and I was reimbursed for the work done by my installers with the faulty stove. I have the replacement installed and working and I could not be happier.

Henley Sherwood failure

In purchasing our Henley Sherwood, my partner and myself both fell in love with the Sherwood c\ w back boiler. Beautiful contemporary design, matt black. We lit for the first time on Jan 23rd 2021.Before christmas 2024 we noticed the ash was wet, to discover the boiler was leaking. Have to give credit, we got a prompt reply, the boiler is out of warranty. We purchased the Sherwood expecting 15 to 20 years service, we barely got 3.5 years and for half of that the stove wasn't lit. We are deeply disappointed, with this investment. We have two choices, take it out and see if a professional can weld the point of failure or replace it. Sorely disappointed with Henley Stoves.

We have a Hanley stove with back…

We have a Henley stove with back boiler. This is our second stove the first one the pipe inside burst and destroyed our floors and it took a long hard fight to get them to replace the stove and floors with no apology. The stove was less than 2 years old. Now today our second stove is now leaking, it’s now out of warranty. Would not recommend these stoves at all. We only burn logs and sometimes some birketts but never over fired.

Henley Sherman 21kw - Smoke Escaping When Refueling

Bought a Henley Sherman 21kw in Nov 23. and couldn't open the door to refuel without smoke escaping. Supplier claimed it was a bad draw. I rearranged the flue and the problem wasn't solved. I tried everything to get it working including clamping sheets of metal to make opening smaller etc. Finally I demanded a technician from Henley, the supplier and my experienced installer to attend my house and see what was happening in person. Within days of requesting their attendance, I was offered a new stove. I declined a offer of a new Henley from the supplier and insisted on a Stanley Reginald. I installed the Stanley and it's in over a year now with absolutely no issues with the draw or smoke escaping when refueling. Wouldn't recommend installing a Henley now even if I got it for free.

Garbage

Purchased one of these stoves about 5 years ago and can truthfully say they a shocking. Smoke comes bellowing out around the door seals at various time. The bars in the front are completely bent from heat even though only wood was used. Contacted customer services they blamed the chimney. A really poorly made stove.

I purchased a Henley Lisbon 900 stove…

I purchased a Henley Lisbon 900 stove for over €2,100 in November 2020 from a stove supplier in Midleton and paid another €1000 to have it installed.

When lit, smoke leaks through the fire rope around the edges of the glass door. We have contacted Henley Stoves in Kerry numerous times about this issue as the stove has a 5 year warranty. (This warranty is also detailed on the Henley Stoves website). Their sales rep agreed there was an issue and agreed to come to inspect the stove, which never happened. After further calls over 1/2 a year, he agreed to send out a replacement wider fire rope. Needless to say, this hasn’t happened either. We have also contacted the stove manufacturer, Thermofoc, in Portugal. Their only email response was to contact Henley Stoves in Kerry.

I so regret installing this particular stove and advise anyone thinking of purchasing a Henley Stove to give them a wide berth! Buyer beware!

Design of stove is disastrous

Design of stove is disastrous
Grate is only in the middle, ashes needs to be dragged to the centre to allow it to fall into the grate. While trying to do this, ashes flies everywhere. Ashes box very flimsy, hard to carry when full as its so wide and unstable.

Henley Stoves: A Disastrous Investment

I made what I thought was a dream purchase, a HETAS compliant stove from Henley Stoves, but my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Two years ago, I was captivated by the allure of a beautiful stove that promised both functionality and aesthetic appeal. However, the reality of my investment has been a far cry from my initial excitement.

Let's start with the positives - the stove looked stunning. With its elegant curves, an expansive window to watch the fire dance, and the promise of ample heat, I had high hopes for it. It was meant to be the focal point of my home, providing warmth and ambiance for years to come.

However, the trouble began before I could even enjoy its radiant glow. Installing the stove was a bureaucratic nightmare, taking over six months due to the complications of finding a certified installer during lockdowns. By the time I could finally bask in its warmth, winter 2021/2022 had arrived.

In autumn 2022, I did what any responsible stove owner would do and had it serviced by a certified installer. That's when the bombshell dropped - the inside boards of the stove were all warped and cracked. My installer informed me that while they might survive another season, it was time to consider replacing them. Naturally, I turned to Henley Stoves for support, thinking that a quality product from a reputable company would be backed by a reasonable warranty.

To my dismay, Henley Stoves washed their hands of the issue. According to their response, the "bricks" were not covered by the warranty. This came as a complete shock to me since the warranty I received did not specify any such exclusions. What's worse, these so-called "bricks" aren't even bricks! They appear to be some sort of fireproof board resembling MDF, which apparently costs a small fortune to replace. If they were indeed bricks, they shouldn't crack so easily in the first place.

My disappointment in Henley Stoves knows no bounds. I had placed my faith in them when I made my purchase, believing I was investing in a top-tier product. Now, I find myself shelling out 56 euros plus delivery every two years just to keep the stove running, thanks to the necessity of replacing these shoddy "bricks." This is neither practical nor feasible.

Henley Stoves' unclear and ever-changing warranty policies are a red flag for any potential buyers. I strongly advise against purchasing any products from them. Consider your options carefully before falling into the same trap I did. Don't let their alluring promises lead you astray; you've been warned.

[UPDATE: In a desperate bid to salvage my investment, I had to purchase a few grog bricks for under 3 quid each. With some elbow grease and an angle grinder, I managed to cut them to shape, and surprisingly, they're working like a charm. This "DIY solution" should never have been necessary with a reputable product, and it further highlights the inadequacies of Henley Stoves' offering.]

Got Henley Sherwood 2 1.

Got new Henley Sherwood 21stove installed in January. In no time the riddler wouldn't riddle.Contacted the person who installed and was told to just use a poker. Why put a riddler on then as it's not fit for purpose.A few more niggles and the instruction book is not great. For example it says, difficulty in riddling may be caused by the nut and may need tightened. There is NO nut there ,it's welded in place!!!Definitely wouldnt buy again.
