Having had this camera for a month now I feel I can confidently say that it has it's uses without too many negative comments. Some photos even tun out surprisingly well in automatic mode. Filming underwater works fine. I wouldnt bother with the preset underwater filter, just edit it on the computer. The main sore points are : the display is not bright enough to see anything underwater, so a viewfinder would be useful. Battery life is pathetic but again it can be recharged after every use. the time between taking photos is longer than one would expect on a new camera. conclusion: a simple camera in an expensive body, good enough for some holiday pictures. The price is possibly a bit higher than it should be for what you get, but then i could not find a better alternative.
