Hard-earned Pension missing from JN Bank ALL YEAR, not helping at all, left desperate at Christmas.

The procedure for creating user name and password online is insecure as information is sent unencrypted (uses HTTP not HTTPS). Have to log on immediately after and change password. You only discover this after supplying name, DoB, address, bank details etc to apply. Pretty unsatisfactory.

I'm gonna report these weapons to the Financial conduct authority, this bank should be shut down in the UK, let them operate in Jamaica with such low standards. Why I'm saying this ? Long story short, I wanted to have extension for my house in the garden for the dog, Anglian Home came and quote me aprice which was around £ 25K, I agreed and made an application to these clowns for finance, they agreed and offered me the loan, then when the surveyor came I changed my mind about the external color of the extension , that brought the price down to £ 23 K , Anglian home had to cancel my previous loan deal with these weapons and make a new one with the lower amount, and we all expected them to agree immediately as they have previously agreed for bigger amount and my circumstances haven't changed albeit slightly improved since the first loan application but we were surpised to hear that they rejected my application for the lower amount after a lots of work has already been done, everyone is disgusted by them, Anglian home is also considering to end their parntership with these clowns.

Abysmal Service
I asked them to change the bank account from which they collect Direct Debits in July. Over 2 months later, they're still "working on it" when I go to the Direct Debit page in my online account.
There is no "Contact Us", or similar option, within my account to ask them to explain why they haven't made this simple change.
I’m glad I looked at the reviews
I’m glad I looked at the reviews from this bank before finally investing. The links and web pages I was asked to register a profile on looked unprofessional and when I told them that I got no feedback they just deleted my application. I’m glad I never invested my money. I also have to say when I called the helpline the employee had a very strong Jamaican accent who I couldn’t understand that well which wasn’t helpful or confidence boasting when investing a large amount of my hard earned cash!

Fraudulent bank that assist fraudulent suppliers to take advantage of their customers
I would not recommend this bank to anyone, why? It's because they operate a banking system that encourages dubious suppliers like Boiler Central and Green Central to take advantage of the people by offering loans (without proper due diligence) on your behalf for services that these suppliers do not have the capability or resources to provide. These suppliers will forcefully ask you to sign (Customers' Satisfaction Note) for uncompleted work so that they can collect the payment from JN Bank. Please watch out for this kind of services because when you put in a complaint, JN Bank will state that there is nothing they can do to help you.
Please watch out for JN Bank, as a financial organisation, they cannot be trusted. I will be reporting you to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) with all the evidence at my disposal.

Do not bank with them
I would not recommend this bank to anyone. I have been trying to register with online banking for months and have made several attempts. Spoken with customer service three times and been in branch in the UK. I enter all my details correctly and still no access to my account and money. At this point I just want to close the account and get my money back. Do not bank with JN bank

Unable to do simple maths. Average ratings are given as 3.6. However, the breakdown shows 88% give a 5-start rating. Those numbers do not add up - not a great look for a bank.

Clear but dumb
To their credit, they were able to clearly explain the situation, and did not waste my time. On the down-side, the situation is absurd.
I am trying to get a loan to pay for solar panels. They say that I will not be able to afford the repayments, because my income is less than my household outgoings.
My wife and I both work. We have a joint bank account and we want to put solar panels on the roof of a house we jointly own. But JN Bank considers only *my* income, not my wife's. Rather than comparing household expenditure to household earnings, they compare household expenditure with *half* the household income. No surprise the loan looks unaffordable!
Can my wife and I take out a loan in both of our names? No. They can offer only a single-payer loan.
I have savings and investments which provide additional income. Does that change the picture? No. They consider only my salaried income, as evidenced by my pay-slips.
But they can see the income from investments on my bank statements. Doesn't matter. They consider only my salaried income, as evidenced by my pay-slips.
Solar panels will reduce my energy bills. Do they take the reduced outgoings into account? No. They base their decision on my *current* household expenses only.
Like I say, they enabled me to very quickly establish that there is no possible way that they will give me a loan. They were very polite. But they were also ridiculous.

Six months and counting to open a simple bank account
I am very disappointed with this establishment parading as a bank.
I am always having to chase for a simple request to open an account in my sole name (I already have a join account with an ex partner). Documentation was provided to the bank in September 2024. If I have not chased in November 2024 would not have known they needed further information. Information supplied and an email confirmed update done on 17 December 2024. Been chasing by phone and email since this date for the new bank details today 24 March 2025 received a courtesy call (after another chasing email) the handler did well (no criticism of him) but was told I would have to complete all the documentation again, provide my personal details and when I return the documents wait a further 1 to 2 weeks to get an account!!
6 months is unacceptable to set up an account and if I had a choice would not use them or recommend them to anyone if they wanted a professional banking establishment.
They should have stayed with the simple operation of transferring money from UK to Jamaica because being a bank is not an area they are succeeding at which involves dealing with transatlantic communications, customer relations and administration shows them to be very unprofessional in all areas.
They are letting down themselves and do not seem to realise the value and importance of their clients based in the UK. They must do a lot better all round. One star is too generous
Title: The Worst Bank in the World – Slow, Incompetent, and Rude Staff
If I could give zero stars, I would. JN Bank is easily the worst bank I have ever dealt with—slow, inefficient, and staffed with some of the rudest, most unhelpful people I’ve ever encountered.
Long story short, I had an NHT refund that was supposed to be deposited into my account, but because my account was dormant, I was told it could not be processed. The agent assured me the money would not be sent back—but after nearly two months of back and forth, I found out that it was indeed returned.
Reactivating my account was another nightmare. It took weeks of frustration, endless phone calls, and dealing with incompetent staff just to get my account working again. And don’t even get me started on internet banking—it took me nearly three weeks just to get access, and that was after dealing with a rude and completely unhelpful agent who failed me on DPA verification simply because I couldn’t recall a transaction I made 15 years ago. 15 YEARS! How on earth is anyone expected to remember that?
Every interaction with JN Bank feels like pulling teeth. Everything is slow, the staff is rude, and getting anything done takes way longer than it should. If you want pure frustration, delays, and terrible customer service, this is the bank for you. Otherwise, avoid JN Bank at all costs—it’s a complete waste of time and energy.
