Scam chases for payment

As per many other reviews they are chasing for payment for a website that we no longer use. Given that they get payment in advance for the service (website hosting) and when you don’t pay the invoice they stop the hosting it will be impossible for them to prove they have suffered loss - which is a requirement for a successful claim. Write them a suitable letter explaining that then ignore the chases.

Ga NOOIT met Jimdo in zee!!!!! Never EVER do business with Jimdo!!!

Ik raad iedereen aan NOOIT met Jimdo in zee te gaan.
Een account aanmaken en er gebruik van maken gaan prima. Maar om er vanaf te komen is een drama.
Opzeggen kan alleen als je ingelogd bent op je eigen account, maar dat is mijn mijn geval onmogelijk omdat mijn eigen website is geblokkeerd omdat ik te laat was met betalen abonnement, na betaling (al weken geleden) zou site weer binnen 24 uur online zijn maar ben al weken verder en dat is nog steeds niet het geval. Dus....... ik kan niet opzeggen.
Mailcontact gehad, krijg alleen maar standaard antwoorden terug, telefonisch contact gezocht, krijg alleen een voicemail met verwijzing naar eigen website... Draai in kringetjes. Heb uiteindelijk contact gezocht met incasso bedrijf die door Jimdo was ingeschakeld om mijn aan mijn betalingsverplichtingen te laten voldoen. Behulpzame heer van incassobedrijf zou contact opnemen met Jimdo. En zo waar, een mail van Jimdo met vraag om via enkele gegevens te verifiëren dat ik daadwerkelijk de juiste persoon was die mijn abonnement kon opzeggen. Gelijk al die gegevens opgestuurd en verzocht mij per ommegaande een bevestiging te sturen dat mijn abonnement nu was opgezegd. Zijn weer weken verder en nog steeds niets van Jimdo vernomen. Ook website (waar dus nu weer voor betaald is) is nog steeds onbereikbaar.
Dus mensen, NOOIT met Jimdo in zee gaan, ik heb spijt als haren op mijn hoofd......
En aan Jimdo de vraag, ALS ER PROBLEMEN ZIJN NEEM CONTACT MET ME OP en als er verder geen problemen meer zijn GEEF ME EEN BEVESTIGING DAT MIJN ABONNEMENT NU EINDELIJK IS OPGEZEGD.

I strongly advise everyone NEVER to go into business with Jimdo.
Creating an account and using it is fine. But trying to get rid of it is a nightmare.
Cancellation is only possible if you are logged into your own account, but in my case that’s impossible because my website was blocked after I was late with my subscription payment. After paying (weeks ago), the site was supposed to be back online within 24 hours, but weeks have passed and it’s still not accessible. So… I cannot cancel.

I contacted them by email, but only received standard template replies. I tried calling, but only got a voicemail directing me back to their own website… I’m going in circles. In the end, I contacted the debt collection agency that Jimdo had appointed to enforce my payment obligations. The helpful gentleman at the agency said he would get in touch with Jimdo. And indeed, I received an email from Jimdo asking me to provide some details to verify that I was the rightful person to cancel my subscription. I immediately sent all the required information and requested a confirmation that my subscription was now terminated. Weeks later, I have still heard nothing back from Jimdo. And my website (which I have now paid for again) is still inaccessible.

So people, NEVER do business with Jimdo. I regret it more than anything…
And to Jimdo: IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS, CONTACT ME. And if there are no further problems, SEND ME A CONFIRMATION THAT MY SUBSCRIPTION HAS FINALLY BEEN CANCELLED.

Close my website down all of a sudden…

Close my website down all of a sudden with no warnings wouldn’t allow me to fix or adjust the Contant changing contract or different policies that were previously not a problem customer service making it whatever excuse they can but still want you to make payments

They keep forgetting to renew my domain…

They keep forgetting to renew my domain name, making it so my website shuts down until I realize that they did not do their job again. This causes a lot of unnecessisary stress for me. It is really frustrating, because without my website, people can not make online bookings, and I lose business. This time, it happened when a company was considering using my services (a great opportunity for me), and they passed me by because my website was unavailable. Also, I pay a lot of money for my website and these people don't do one of the main jobs I pay them to do. Also, customer service is really slow at getting back and there is no emergency support on weekends.

Subscription can’t be canceled and it’s expensive

Jimdo is definitely not the ideal option. Created an account in 2020(a paid subscription) and one year later the subscription doubled so I canceled it. I registered 2 emails with Jimdo, the main one which was the email I created specifically for my website and a second one- my personal one. After cancellation I stopped using the main one. I canceled the subscription in June 2021 and in December 2022(1,5 years later) I received a letter from Pair Finance asking me to pay for my last year subscription which I canceled it more than 200€. Note that I didn’t use the website all this time, is not even there, was blocked after I canceled my subscription. Went on Jimdo website to check if I made a mistake and really haven’t canceled it, but there’s no cancellation button, no way of contacting any support and no help regarding this problem. I went to my old email to check if I got any emails from them. I got my first payment reminder on 8 June 2021 and a second one on 28 June 2021. No additional email on my personal email(the second one listed ). I still don’t know how to “cancel my subscription “ so I guess I’ll have to pay for this year as well. Don’t recall signing up for a life-time subscription. Be careful with Jimdo!

Worst tool that I have ever used. I would off deleted the domaine and close the entire company. It has nothing to offer, no templates, no options to import photos in the text-box, no background picture options etc. I can continue the list of the cons in this website. I highly recommend everyone to not spend even a second in this site. Try Fix, Wordpress, Square Space and other tools.

Non paid invoice : Pair Comes to collect

Site use is ok ! But after period of 1 or 2 years is very difficult to cancel the contract ! Jimdo is difficult to reach ! After multiple times trying to get contact I stopped paying

3!!! Years later an external company PAIR from Berlin in trying to get money collected. 4 emails per week , letters etc etc. And that for 84€ !
Jimdo please stop this as Pair pushed to the limit and I will never use jimdo again

Jimdo illegal invoice claims

Jimdo decided to hire a debt collecting company for claiming 'an unpaid' invoice from more than 3 years ago.
Not a single reminder, not a phonecall, not a letter in those 3 years.
Despite it being illegal to claim anything after more than 2 years of said purchase date, Jimdo refers to the debt collecting company instead of entering into a normal dialogue. I get weekly threats with addictional costs from the debt collection company and jimdo is doing nothing. I guess Jimdo is losing money and trying to extract money in another way than fair business. STAY AWAY FROM JIMDO.  They are crooks.

Unexpected costs...

I used this tool to create my website, unfortunately when I didn't need my website anymore I cancelled my subscription with them, but apparently not all of it and I still needed to pay 60 euro for something I didn't use. It is a shame because although I cancelled on time there were things "open" that were not cancelled. I could have used that money to create a website in a better place. So make sure when you don't need it anymore to cancel everything so you don't get unexpected costs.

It's ALL ABOUT MONEY

I once registered a website with Jimdo as a teen, not knowing what I was up for. They automatically renewed the subscription for YEARS which I never knew. When I got a new creditcard they still tried to charge me. Now, 3 YEARS LATER they're still after me for that money on a subscription I NEVER agreed to get renewed this often. AWFUL! They put the blame ENTIRELY on me and NEVER tried to contact me.
