My son used this study.com during summer break, as he is very self-driven always seeking more to study. I paused subscription in August when busy school year starting. However today I just received em... See more

DO NOT USE STUDY.COM
DO NOT USE STUDY.COM. Use Sophia or another site. It’s impossible to get them to respond to your emails. There’s no way to reach anyone by phone waited a week for my paper to be graded. You can’t cancel until all of your work has been graded. Otherwise, you don’t receive the credit, and if they send you a response to redo your citations, there’s no explanation of what’s wrong, and no one to explain it to you. Then they delete your entire work so you can’t even see what isn’t correct.I’ve asked multiple times for some type of an answer but all you get is a generic AI response. Do not use this site. You’ll end up paying double the amount.
Five Weeks and 180 Bucks Wasted.
I spent five weeks and $180 studying with Study.com for the Praxis 5165, focusing on areas they said I had mastered. When I took the test, those areas were exactly where I scored lowest, and the exam felt nothing like their prep. This resource did not prepare me for the real test — use with caution.
This platform is the worst ACE credit…
This platform is the worst ACE credit platform there is in 2026 hands down. When the website updates the courses that you have completed and were given credit towards already, it will give you a failed score and your credit will be taken away because they added a assignment onto the course. But when you have completed the course before hand without an assignment attached with it previously it was credited to you and given as a PASSING score. On top of things Study.com has the WORST the WORST! customer service, NO CUSTOMER PHONE NUMBER TO REACH a LIVE person to help you, no RESPONSES back until 1-2 weeks later when submitting a ticket for correction or whatever you need. Grading exams are not graded in 1-2 days instead it takes weeks to get results back to you. I HAVE BEEN using Study.com for about 1 yr now so I can have college credits transferred over into a College. BY FAR THE WORST ACE CREDIT PLATFORM THERE IS. STAY AWAY FROM THIS AND GO WITH SOPHIA OR STRIAIGHTERLINE. MUCH EASIER AND FASTER TO DEAL WITH.
Make sure they cancel your membership.
I canceled my membership to study.com. I save the screenshot, but they continue to build me monthly. They do not respond to phone calls or emails. In the end I had to tell my card to stop paying them.

BE AWARE!!!
SASWATI scammed me $3250 for certificate.. only to be cancelled after few months by ASQA…
If I could leave negative stars I…
If I could leave negative stars I would. Locked me out of my account for 6 days when I’m supposed to be finishing a lesson and taking a test. No one to speak with and going on 6 days of emailing them. Completely unprofessional. RUN
They didn't inform me of the price
I was looking at study.com and signed up, it asked me to put in my credit card information without ever asking me about a plan or letting me know it would charge me $235. Them not having a phone number just adds icing to the cake I have had to contact my bank account and dispute the charge.
Offered Discounts
Discounts - I logged into Grammarly and tried the beginning of a practice test. I was unable to get back to it, and it won't let me retake the "free" test. That is not my problem. I subsequently received an email offering a discount for my first month. I was unable to find the discount code, and following the link I was provided led me to a cart that only offered the full price. It included a place for a coupon code, but since I was unable to find one, I was unable to utilize the discount. I have contacted customer service, but after sending a screenshot of the email, I received no response. I also sent a follow-up email. I had a week off at the beginning of the month to study for a test to obtain my teaching license this fall, but I should have taken it already. I wish I could pay full price, but I am unable to at this time. I was supposed to receive a grant, and that also did not come through. It would be nice if they honored their own advertisements. I also found the first month free offer, which I was told was only offered in the form of a refund if you were not satisfied. Seems very deceptive. I think they know what they are doing.
Vocal Fry and Awful Narration
Katie McClellan's narration completely ruins the learning experience on Study.com. Her delivery is robotic and performative, filled with vocal fry that makes the lessons grating and hard to follow. She brings no subject expertise or teaching presence, and the result feels artificial and disconnected. Study.com need to replace her with an actual instructor or a qualified academic narrator to restore the credibility and clarity these courses deserve.
Horrible customer service
I accidentally bought their “free trial” just to try only to realise that it wasn’t actually a free trial and i must i’ve missed the part about it being paid, so i was charged 5.99 USD (10.94 NZD). I contacted their customer service about the accident and they replied sounding really nice and said they would give me a refund. I thanked them and waited a few days for my refund, then i sent another email since i still hadn’t received it and they said they’d forward my request so i get it faster. Then i waited more and emailed them a couple more times on later days, and they just stopped replying to me and i still don’t have my refund.
Don't waste your money
this is not a good place to complete credits, they spend A LOT of time grading your projects and they flag you as if you use AI even if you haven't just go with sophia they're amazing this site sucks and also overprice for what they offer
This is a really crap company yakes…
This is a really crap company yakes your money and dies not do what they say they will. Completed a class that I needed for graduation and 4 months later still do not have my transcripts
I have deeply mistaken
Updated
I enrolled in Study.com believing the subscription included everything needed to finish my courses. However, one of my classes suddenly required an unexpected third-party paid platform that was not listed anywhere in the syllabus or terms of service. I only discovered the charge after clicking into the assignment.
When I contacted support, an agent named Stacey R. admitted the issue and promised I’d be exempt from the extra fee, saying they’d clarify this for future students. That exemption was never honored.
After that, communication became almost nonexistent. They promise a two-day turnaround on responses, but most of my cases went unanswered for a week or longer — and even when I did get replies, many weren’t properly addressed or resolved. Some tickets are still partially unanswered weeks later.
I was also soft-locked out of assignments, received auto-generated rejection emails claiming “missing key portions,” and even watched human-graded submissions get marked “incomplete” within minutes — proving they were never actually read.
When the issue was finally adjusted, they did fix the correct class — but they also interfered with another course I was still working on, marking it as failed in the process. My grades were not calculated correctly, and one assignment still shows as pending despite all work being finished.
On top of that, I can’t save updates to my account because their system flags my legal last name as profanity, which I verified with my driver’s license. Support acknowledged it but never resolved it.
Overall, I’ve dealt with hidden fees, broken grading, poor communication, and unkept promises. I’m still waiting on multiple unresolved tickets and BBB responses.
This company is a complete joke. I will never do business with them again, and anyone considering Study.com should proceed with extreme caution.
Updated
The problem was acknowledged and I have been refunded which makes me in a better mood but does not change my overall opinion
False advertisement
Their website states that a 29.99 MONTHLY BILLING would gain me access to ALL VIDEOS and course descriptions. Their videos gave me less than half of their time before asking for a 59.99 MONTHLY subscription???? How is this legal? What a waste of time and money. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. They are out here scamming broke college students for real.
Good quality not quantity
I was suffering with cyclic quadrilateral and the video that I saw from study.com helped me a lot.
I know the video may seem childish but quality matters not quantity.
Phone number and email scam
After entering my phone number and email to see pricing for the SAT course, I was sent emails and texts for discounts, despite the fact that I didn’t buy their service. Made me feel quite scammed and invaded, as I was forced to enter my info just to see their pricing. I suggest freely listing pricing, or not sending promos if you force potential customers to give info for service info. Discouraged me from ever buying anything from the company, and will probably do the same to others.
I purchased this because I was taking the Praxis Exam for Business Edcation
I purchased this because I was taking the Praxis exam to get my alternative teaching certificate in Business Education. The Praxis study material on study.com was nothing like the actual Praxis exam. I am an excellent test taker and ended up passing the exam with an exceptionally high score but it had very little to do with the preparation that I completed via study.com. If I was a person that struggled with taking tests, the differences would have been debilitating. Some of the content offered was beneficial but the style and formatting of the questions was completely different on the actual Praxis exam.
Worth your money if you’d like to graduate early
I can’t speak for others but I took 2 classes on this website and really didn’t have issues. I will say though, like others, I agree that getting your assignments graded took a little while. But all in all I had no problems transferring and applying my credits.
Scam, waste of time and money
Study.com did not deliver a single piece of their service for me. I didn't get all of the credits I earned, and they never sent out my transcripts. When I attempted to address these issues, multiple times I might add, I never got a response from a member of this support staff. I didn't even get an automated response. Don't waste your money, study.com is a scam.
Stupid
It’s honestly so frustrating when I just want to learn something and I’m immediately hit with a sign-up wall. I don’t need an account, a password, or a hundred confirmation emails—I just want quick access to the information. It turns what should be a simple learning experience into an annoying chore.
