Woke, lefty snowflakes

Banned from commenting after I left a comment criticising a review which itself was criticising a movie. - The irony was lost on them.

Seems they are happy to dish out criticism but not able to take it.

Sadly, this hypocritical "news" media organisation's commenting principle is "we are happy for people to comment, but only if we agree with them". They are happy to criticise a movie but not to be called out on it. - Again, the irony is palpable.

Sadly, this media organisation has turned into nothing more than a bunch of woke, lefty liberal snowflakes (it's a stretch to call them "journalists") who preach tolerance and diversity, yet don't practice it.

The bias is so far-left leaning, and with no sense of humour or appreciation and understanding of satire, that it's just not worth reading.

Trash news organization. As others have said, you conform to the echo chamber or you get banned. Support a different news outlet.

Very biased

Very biased. Will only accept comments that adhere to their views, else get blocked and will only be permitted back into commenting if acknowledge adherence to their views and beliefs. This approach is more akin to a religion than a newspaper.

Too Biased.

Just too biased and they don't report all the facts. I had been using stuff nz for a long time but I think since they got brought they've become opinionated with subtle qoutes that are aimed at swaying public opinion

What is their beef with Noel Edmonds

What is their beef with Noel Edmonds? Not sure why they have decided to viciously, verbally attack a guy who obviously has New Zealand’s best interest at heart and is investing in the country? Such a shame in life you come across nasty, vindictive, jealous individuals.

Spelling mistakes riddled throughout…

Spelling mistakes riddled throughout every story, including misquoting people. Also stating false claims as facts on a regular basis with respect to TPM suspensions (they didn't interrupt the vote, TPM voted last as the smallest party) and with respect to the Israel-Gaza conflict (repeatedly claim that Hamas killed all 1200 victims, despite widespread recognition of Israel firing upon their own people). Also Stuff provides links to external articles, including to fishing websites where people can have their data stolen. And then there's the aggressive advertising of alcohol smeared everywhere...Stuff really is a trash heap.

Stuff.co.nz is a politically biased wannabe media outlet

The site will take you to news articles you didn't click on. The appealing thumbnail of an interesting international news article that you clicked on off-site will redirect you to a completely irrelevant article on something national, with the ability to find what you originally entered the site to read being extremely difficult. I'll click on an article to inform me about the conflict in the middle east then send me to an article about local Maori issues... Just seems so controlled and biased.

Septic

It is by far and a way the worst news app to use on mobile devices to get anything factual and you have to pay to comment and even then they monitor so heavily Jacinda may as well be at the desk with her paper shredder getting rid of Clarkes backstory while reviewing your comments
Absolutely appalling non Jornallism and makes Trump look like a moderate

Worst service imaginable

Worst service imaginable, telephone staff are arrogant and unhelpful. They don't reply to emails and telephone staff are clueless.
Unfortunately I had to give a one star as there was no ZERO star option.

Biased

Biased. Only publish articles that support, or at the very least don’t argue against, their overtly left leaning narratives.

They used to allow readers to comment on articles but removed that option because their audience was often disagreeing with their articles impetus.

There is no guise or veneer of unbiased reporting.

Vile gossip sold to the public as truth

Stuff news is absolutely evil. They lied through their teeth about me and their journalist Nadine Porter does gutter journalism and shouldn't be called a journalist. What they did to me was actually evil. They hate conservatives and they decided due their left wing bias falsely accused people they don't like of some very serious things including crimes. Police need to investigate and charge people. They shouldn't be allowed to be given the credibility people think they have. Stuff are liars.

Always supported this channel however…

Always supported this channel however one gripe is lovely reporter Jenna lynch needs assistance in breathing techniques when delivering her reporting. Great reporter but the constant talking until she runs out of breath then a very obvious loud intake of oxygen is not a professional delivery of speech, plse give her some guidance.

WILL NOT VIEW THIS "NEWS" WEBSITE EVER AGAIN.

Since moving to NZ from Europe where there is an excellent range of online news websites, looked forward to viewing Stuff here in NZ.
What a disappointment - so left winged, Anti ruling party and lately, Anti Wellington. I've lived in Wellington for 18 months and what a great vibe it has but the Auckland based Stuff at every opportunity seem hell bent on putting such a negative spin on the capital.
Recent articles of a cafe closing; most places in NZ at the moment are experiencing this in the economic downturn, the lower than normal temperatures for January "worse summer start in decades", yet the number of sunshine hours for January 2025 was only 8 hours down for the average by the 14/1/25.
Most of the year I'm wearing summer clothes here in Wellington!
House prices in Wellington - The largest drop from peak values yet had the highest gain from the main centres.
Me thinks Stuff wants Auckland to be the capital of NZ where their base is.
Other reasons to turn off from Stuff - look at articles long enough and then get bombarded with rubbish ads or cut you off with one paragraph and then try and get you to create an account in order to log in and read - no thanks!
A friend told me about RNZ online and now a complete convert - great impartial news articles with no ads or the need to recreate an account.

Stuff is so biased

Stuff is so biased towards the Left-wing, pro-Maori perspective that it has lost all objectivity and credibility, and is entirely untrustworthy. I have stopped viewing it.

Awful

Honestly , I’ve never used such a terrible app in all my life. Buggy as hell, riddled with return to top commands in the coding. The developers think they are being smart by doing this , but everyone I’ve spoken to have got rid of the Stuff app within minutes of installing it. Utter junk. Hang your heads in shame
