I have a been customer of TIM since…

I have a been customer of TIM since 2022.. As an old person I chose to have both a landline phone at home together with WiFi etc.I sold my apartment in July 2025 and paid TIM to transfer the landline to my new address immediately. I was given a new number . They charged to disconnect old number &also charged for the reconnection and new number. This was more expensive than the original premiums. They said I was being charged as they had cancelled the original contract and that I was now being treated as a new customer.
However, I was paying for all of this up to 09/12/2025. Also , although I gave them my new address inJuly 2025 they are still sending communication to my old address.
I am not impressed with this service. The assistants in their shop at Porta San Maria Lucca 55100 were not helpful.

I’ve been a loyal MyTim customer for…

I’ve been a loyal MyTim customer for over two years, paying €10.99 monthly. Without any notice, my bill was raised to €15.99, and I was even charged €1 for a gaming service I never subscribed to. When I contacted customer service, I received no clear explanation. Instead, I was told they couldn’t restore my original plan and that my only option was to cancel and buy a new subscription.

This lack of transparency, unexpected charges, and dismissive support left me feeling frustrated and misled. I expected honesty and respect as a long-term customer, but MyTim failed to deliver.

They even ask me 25 euro to correct my tax code 😒, it's an extortion!

Adriana's super at the Tim Via Leoni 5

Adriana at the Tim store Via Leoni 5 in Verona was super helpful and had my issue resolved quickly! I'd recommend against the Tim store (franchise) near Piazza Bra in Verona. I went in for an e sim for a permanent Italian phone number and they used an e sim from another company which then had to be transferred to Tim after a week. Super annoying. Also, not being able to switch languages on the Tim app is not helpful as my Italian is not very good at this point.

Nightmare on Elm Street

If you’re a foreigner in Italy with limited Italian, avoid TIM.it — their customer service is nearly impossible to navigate. Calling 187 is a maze of automated menus, and when you finally reach a real person (who all seem to have the same voice), the experience is just as frustrating.
You’ll be asked to try various steps that lead nowhere. The agent refuses to schedule a technician, and instead you’re told you’ll receive an SMS within 10 days to arrange a visit — but most of the time, that message never arrives. The only text I ever got was a customer satisfaction survey.
It’s unbelievable how little English support there is for such a large company in a country that welcomes millions of tourists every year. Italy is in Europe — learning another language, especially English, should be standard for a major national service provider.
If you’re reading this before signing up: do yourself a favor and go with another internet provider. Save yourself from the endless calls, confusion, and wasted time.

A Mafia company!!!

A Mafia company!!!! The most disgusting company I've even come across. LI'm visiting my family in Italy and they missed a bill payment in the summer for an admin problem. Despite paying all other billed after that they slowed the internet dow to a level you can't even use it. Now that the problem was identified and the bill was paid, they said it would take 48 hours for the internet to be reinstated. Which company punished a client who regularly pays his bills but misses one for an admin problem? It doesn't happen in any other country in the world. Where on earth is the customer service here. I can see complaints here are only from foreigners as Italian are used to the slavery system and lack of customer service in Italy. The attitude here is: "that's the way it is here". And that's with eveything. But, as an Italian, I believe Italians should demand more and complain more until things change in this country. And companies should have ethics and customer service.

Surcharges

Horrible experience. They overcharged multiple months and I was not able to produce that I did not sign up for the services they credited to me. No customer service whatsoever. When you call the customer support line, most times you will get a bot. On rare occasions when a human answers, they don’t care about helping you at all. I switched to Iliad after a year of suffering through this and couldn’t be happier.

TIM store on level 1 at the Termini…

TIM store on level 1 at the Termini train station told us no Guibileo sim card in store only on line. So she sold us 150gb data, unlimited calls in Italy and 100 minutes international. To find out the next day we could not call Canada so we went back the next day and she told us Canada was not included in international countries. The most ridiculous answer I heard. So we left and saw another TIM store in the lower floor and decided to check with the store clerk, and asked if we could buy the Guibileo sim card in store and he said yes. So we knew the clerk on level 1 was lying and charged us more for a card that did not include Canada int'. AVOID TIM STORE LEVEL 1 at the Termini train station.

I would get this company a zero star…

I would get this company a zero star unfortunately I have to give it at least one an absolutely diabolical company. They couldn’t even run a cold bath three days in a row where my Internet has been cut off and I’m still not even getting the speed that I was promised, I’ve run Speedtest through the app and for a separate app and the Tim app is lying. I can’t believe a company notice is ripping off people and getting away with it. i’ve never felt so strongly about this, but I really want people to read this and never use this company.

Refused to give me a refund on a faulty and unusable mobile phone purchased in Venice because it was "shown working in store" - even though the display completely died a few hours later! Awful company - extremely rude staff members and no contact details online to send my complaint to.

I bought the eSIM online before arrival I Rome. At the Rome Termini station I went to the TIM store showed her my PIN number I received by email and without hesitation she activated my phone. She even suggested an actual SIM card for free. The phone worked as soon as I turned it off and on again.

Great service and all with a nice smile. Despite being as busy as they were. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

TIM resorts to ILLEGAL practices to attract customers!

They keep spamming me, inspite of the fact I am in the "Registro delle opposizioni" which makes their spamming ILLEGAL!!! They also keep calling me telling me my current provider (they know which one it is, which means someone in my current provider sold them the information. Another ILLEGAL activity!!!!) has problems in my area, and I should switch to TIM. They don't tell me they are TIM, they tell me they are an independent operator, but they always recommend TIM. Another ILLEGAL activity.
Conclusion: TIM resorts to ILLEGAL practices to attract customers! A DISGUSTING company!!!

A disgusting company to deal with

A disgusting company to deal with. Our house in Italy has been without internet since last December and despite multiple calls, many from our Italian neighbours who speak better Italian than us, we have been the victims of lies regarding visits from technicians who never appear. Yet we have been paying for this non existent service for the past 8 months. Edited to add that 2 days after posting this review we finally had our cable repaired.
