in the past few days, donations for Hazem's family (vetted #281 on spreadsheet) has slowed to a crawl, and for several hours at a time stopped entirely if not for persistent taglists. there is such a disconnect between what i see on here and my conversations with Hazem.
Hazem has the most important exam of his academic career in two weeks, and yet he told me he has taken on more work shifts so he could get some extra cash to send back to his family so they would not have to dip into their evacuation fund. most days Hazem is completely sapped of energy, and does not have the time nor energy to speak with me. and then after a day's silence he would then apologize to me for not being able to text. it's heartbreaking.
the main thing Hazem keeps telling me is he is afraid that he asked for more funds to keep his family safe, people will label him a scammer. and he is working himself to the bone to prevent this. please help lessen his burden by donating.

Abdullah Ameen resides in the Nuseirat camp with his wife and two extremely young children; the older being only one, the youngest being a newborn. The ongoing genocide makes it far too dangerous and difficult for Abdullah and his wife to raise their children securely and safely. He has also recently amended his campaign in order to evacuate his mother, who is injured with a pelvic fracture, and sisters.
His campaign began in April, yet it has received only a fraction of its goal of β¬35,000 throughout the past five months. His family must be evacuated urgently, especially since he is with a newborn child and his injured mother, who is unable to visit a doctor.

I'm making it my goal to evacuate Momen's family as fast as humanly possible. I can not bear seeing how slow donations move every day, and I can't let anyone get as lax as they have currently.

My husband Rasmi is the director of 3 language and training centers. In this war, our house was completely destroyed and razed to the ground, and my husbandβs centers were blown up. He lost his job, and we were completely displaced, and we are now homeless and jobless, My two young daughters constantly suffer from diseases due to malnutrition and water pollution.
Danger and death surround us all day and all night. We have lost everything and depend on donations to survive and, most of all, to have any hope of escaping this genocide and evacuating to safety in Egypt. The cost of daily living continues to rise significantly in Gaza - imagine that we cannot find the type of milk for our daughter because of its high price. There is no kind of detergent and this is the cause of skin diseases for my two little girls. We bought a piece of soap for $30! Ψ and detergent is 100$.

Hello, I am Bilal.
My life, like the lives of many, has been divided between two places. My family is now divided between Gaza and Egypt, and each part of it carries within it stories of pain and resilience. Gaza, where part of my family remains, witnesses daily the bitterness of life under siege and constant fear. However, it is their home that they cannot easily leave.
As for me, I was displaced with some of my family members from Gaza to Egypt. The decision was difficult and costly; we paid a heavy price not only financially, but emotionally as well. The cost of displacement was heavy on all of us. Our arrival in Egypt was not the end of the suffering, but rather the beginning of a new phase of difficulties.
Life in Egypt is not what we expected. It is difficult and very expensive. Everything here requires money; from the simplest daily needs to costs that cannot be easily afforded. Because we do not have residency, it has become necessary to deal with complex and difficult circumstances. Every day we face a new challenge, and every day we try to adapt to our new reality.
Despite all these challenges, we try to find our way in this exile. Life in Egypt is not what we hoped for, but it is our current reality. We are trying to adapt to this new life, yet our hearts remain attached to Gaza, where we left part of our family and dreams.
We are here, trying to maintain what remains of our dignity amidst these circumstances, and we know that the road is long and difficult. But we continue, with the hope that one day we will find the stability we are looking for, whether here or in our homeland that still lives in our hearts.
