Character designs for Samuel's parents :) I tries my best to give them features their son will have as an adult without giving them too much of a "default face" lol

The autumn pin arrived, it's so cute ! It was in production longer than I thought it would be so it arrived now we're in winter, but hopefully people still like it lol

Also update on the other two pins : the one of Philip tying up his hair with the 3D frame is finished, tho the same manufacturer is finishing the red Hollow Mind pin and I'm waiting for that one to be done to combine shipping costs. There were some printing issues with the Hollow Mind one so it's being fixed at the moment but hopefully it will be completed soon :)

My calendar reminded me today it's Henrietta's birthday (the 5th of December - it's already the 6th here but it's still the 5th in America so I guess that still counts XD) so I doodled something wholesome :3

I ended up putting these on my Etsy for now, along with this little info sheet I added to all 3 listings :) I think I figured out how to get my cutting settings to work pretty well now, so I'm gonna be able to make more of these :D

No guarantee this will actually turn out exactly the way I want it to, but if it does I will absolutely post progress photos

I used my cutting machine to make a pattern for Philip’s journal and it works 👀 I just tested it

I’m thinking of making a handful of replicas of his journal. I found a factory that does hand made paper, and I can get some fake leather online. My machine can cut leather too so I was thinking about using my pattern to cut the leather, and then I would still have to stitch it by hand and basically do hand made book binding.

For the gold pieces at the top I’m gonna reach out to one of my pin factories and ask them to make them out of real metal, I just checked the sizes and it seems to be working out just fine 🙂

the factory I found that does hand made paper also does printing so I’m gonna ask them if they can add the little “P” and borders on each page for me so I don’t have to stamp them by hand hundreds of times lol

(I also need to think of the little rope that goes around, I’m planning on hand stitching that and then the little cord to close it also, I’m probably doing to see if I can get all the little hexagon shapes 3D printed and add them to the side at the end)

Oh also, for the “Philip Wittebane” written on the cover, I actually also got some heating pens to go with my cutting machine, and they can do engraved foil. I’m gonna have to test that out on the fake leather, but I’m planning on adding that too. If that doesn’t work I think I’ll just emboss it with a different blade and then hand paint the gold inside.

I tried the HTV vinyl next (heat transfer vinyl) and it works so well !! It’s a lot easier to peel off too. I think the only thing is that the small dots got scratched off during cutting so I’m gonna have to figure out better settings to avoid this. The very very small areas like the nostrils were also really hard to keep in place but surprisingly the stars had no problem. Also the notebooks I bought arrived and they were listed as A5 but they’re a little smaller than that so I’m gonna have to slightly adjust the size of the next one.

But for a first attempt I feel like I did pretty decently :o

The process definitely taught me a lesson about complicated designs but OMG IT WORKED !!!

This was my first try with adhesive vinyl, I put it on my watercolor box :D

I just heard the first draft of the Samuel Walter villain song and it’s going incredibly well 👀

I have some ideas for visuals to do with it too. I didn’t start the visuals yet because I wanted to hear how the song would go first but now I’m definitely gonna have to get started on this
