So, I'm a 23 year old who still lives at home. My family is fostering 2 puppies right now while we find them loving homes. These are the pups.
We have a fenced-in yard that built our fence up to the fence of our backdoor neighbors, which they signed, saying it was legally okay. Well, the dogs got a bit out of line and they started trying to dig under the fence, a fact we were not made privy to until after the neighbors informed us that, if they stuck their heads under the fence again, they would shoot our puppies. This was understandably distressing to us, especially my 10 year old brother, who was in the backyard when they began threatening to kill the dogs. They called the cops on us, and when my dad asked if this could be talked over, they threatened to "cause him an accident." So that's fun. I wasn't there for the initial arguments, but my parents got a fair chunk (over 10 minutes) on video, which I've yet to watch due to the stress of the situation.
So, why am I ebegging? Well, I'm not exactly. I have commissions open and am hoping to get some to handle this. We aren't going to court because the threats of violence weren't recorded, and my parents don't want to make things worse since we have to live by these people. They've agreed not to kill our dogs if we build a second fence, leaving about a 2-foot gap between our fence and theirs. This is going to be around $500 based on what my mom said.
