A blog of a tarot reading witch and a full-time crazy cat lady. Here be mostly GIFs
I'm just a woman. procrastinating on a blog,

Because of the popularity of my designs for the Patti LuPone mini deck, I ended up designing a few more.

Gianna was added to the mix because someone asked me, but the rest of them are due to certain important associations.

  1. Nellie is there because the 2001 Sweeney Todd was the first time I ever saw or heard Patti in anything (technically I'd listened to her repeatedly in Anything Goes because I was obsessed with Cole Porter as a teen, but I didn't recognise it as her because I didn't know about her then. Ditto for listening to Les Mis),and it was back in 2010 after I saw Into the Woods at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre with my favourite Jenna Russell and the amazing Hannah Waddingham, and I went down a Sondheim spiral. Also it may be a little on the nose to have Nellie as Death and doesn't quite fit its true meaning, but it was too tempting to resist.
  2. Mama Rose because Gypsy is the first performance of Patti I ever saw live and, frankly, she ruined me for all other Mama Roses. Which I have admitted to Patti herself, haha.
  3. Dr Seward, because it's the first TV role I remember seeing her in, and also it's extra fitting because of working on the Dracula musical currently, with a female Seward in that too.
  4. I watched Life Goes On for the first time last year when I was deathly ill and I couldn't do anything but sit very still and sleep in order to avoid dropping dead. I went from 'Oh this series is sweet' to 'this series is riddled with misogyny and Patti was right to call it rotten'

You guys do know you're supposed to reblog things, right

"well i like this post but i'm worried my followers might not" fuck your followers. The entire point of tumblr is to cause irreparable psychic damage to your followers. We are locked in mortal combat on the astral plane. You must win. You Must Win. You Must Destroy Them.
