but it is rather a system, a machine or monstrous parasite that consumes those who come to serve it.

Yes Prime Minister: The Computer Game (C64/DOS, Oxford Digital Enterprises, 1987/1988)

The game of the British comedy TV series. You can play it in your browser here, and read a digital manual for the C64 version here. For the DOS version, assume all disks are already inserted.

Tip: Sir Humphrey is the Cabinet Secretary. The protagonist, Prime Minister Jim Hacker, loves finishing his sentences.

things this film really has going for it:

-> inexplicable subplot with victorianesque chimney sweeps in a film set in the 1480s

-> exquisite outfits

-> basil rathbone

-> the use of a dollhouse for his evil schemes

-> vincent price as clarence with a gay little dog

-> the expression ‘mm. that does make the gravy thick.’

-> boris karloff as a bald torturer telling richard ‘you’re more than a duke. more than a king. you’re a god to me.’

-> boris karloff as a bald torturer straddling a man to throttle him saying ‘there, my pretty. that’ll teach you not to run from old mord.’

cannot get over this outfit
