hey guys can you all use your mind powers to manifest a Manager Magolor (Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe) plush thanks

yesterday I had the thought "visual novel for normal people" (?) and halfway through making this image (which I thought would be really funny) I realized it was completely meaningless

i suppose its like this. each flavor is like a color. some colors can be paired well, but a slight shift in values can make them not work, and at the same time, while similar colors work well together, contrasting colors can also look great, or remind you of things, or make some kind of weird new feeling. simple savory sweet sour salty spicy is really only the start. floral, herbal, even just something being powdered can have its own flavor, like how sugar tastes like a plant too and salt tastes like a mineral too

nods nods i see

its more about learning to identify flavors, whats missing, or what might make this better. it also helps expand your tastes, and create new expectations of what a spice can be used for. cinnamon is a great spice for a savory dish too, if you know how to use it

nods nods i see ..... will keep this in mind 4eva

its a really fun exercise because you get a yummy drink. make sure to focus on why a flavor is needed though. once, we made a bitter drink, so we added cinnamon, which has a strong, dessert associated taste. it helped add a bit more complexity, which made it perfect

im assuming it is based on what cancels out but in a complimwntary way ? like sweet/bitter are complimwntary colours

if you want to train yourself to figure out flavors, i recommend just putting stuff, water, and sugar on the stovetop. we train our sense of taste by figuring out how to make whatever taste good. lime juice, jelly, milk, lots of spices, and teas are the usually suspects, but not all at once, ofc. a slightly spicy spiced lime drink is a much different beast than jelly and milk black tea

nods nods i see … i will try this tomorrow as my house is asleep and it is also midnight

btw no one tells you this but its so fun to make your own recipes because then other people tell you how easy it was and how tasty the food was and you go ehehehehe >:3 because you won at recipe

wait uoure so right .. im eeally bad at guessing though. and mixing flavours. which is kind of not ideal because i am going to college for baking & hopefully taking an internship but☝️ ill figure it out

no the other thing

oh yeah ive seen like nultiple posts talking about how they see tenna and he tells them what fruits to pick out at the store and stuff. like having a head tenna but physically. now i have my own head characters to give me advice so im not bothered but the fact it happened to so many people with the same character is a feat
