Also enough time has passed for me to settle on one critique of The Batman '22 that I didn't give before: I do think Reeves has a little bit of a sexism problem, in a way that's subtle enough it's upsetting but not distracting.
#tries very hard to be progressive which I DO appreciate VERY much in a Batman movie. but the female character writing/treatment still#sidelines them a lot and is a little overly-focused on sexual themes and sex appeal#think: the dead friend and sofia falcone's casting. like I said. its not the worst but you can see the subconscious bias.#could still be redeemed as there are still a lot of female batman characters to draw from that dont HAVE to be femme fatales.
