I think people, whether if it’s shipping discourse or not, NEED to understand that refrencing sexual stuff or sexual scenes when you’re arguing with people- even as a joke- is still sexual harassment.

For a specific example, someone said that you don’t NEED to ship the family members in Encanto. You can just make an oc or self insert. Someone then reblogged the post to describe an incest orgy. THAT’S SEXUAL HARASSMENT. Just because you are not physically touching t someone or telling them that you want to rape them, that does not mean you are not sexually harassing them

In regards to Suvi’s statement (if you can even call it that) It’s vile. I’m really pissed that people on the shipper side of the fandom locked into the “(insert person) was a shipper” instead of realising that hey, you (general) at some point interacted with someone who hurt me and my friends and was an active groomer, please acknowledge it.

I’m mad at Suvi for the RAINN and other irl abuse comments given what I and others have gone through, no amount of apologies are going to change how I feel about them doing that no matter how “sorry” they are, because they already doubled down on it to make fun of others.

I had to bring up Marchy in that original anon towards Cyenne because that was where I knew Suvi from the most. Memory issues be damned, I gave the follow up screenshot to give proof, a sc that was taken earlier that day. *I* did not call Suvi a predator or anything of the sort. I said I knew them and cut contact due to them being around Marchy, specifically when the worst of the grooming was happening.

Given their and their associates behaviour towards what we went through, The fact that they are not willing to look at the bare of information being given out about what Marchy did (that is new to me too!!) and the fact that they called us liars for what? Information that is being fed to them on a silver platter by the victims who were very much children at the time of this happening? It’s vile.

No amount of apologies from these people will make up for the abuse they’re trying to cover for. I don’t give a fuck about someone being a shipper, I care more about how they treat actual victims coming to them. If they refuse to look at what they’re given and brush us off as “antis”, they are no better than those who have hurt us.

Along with spreading awareness, archiving is the least I can do. Given how much silence and lack of communication muddies things, it's important for people to know as much information as possible to come to their own conclusions. I don't think it's right for Suvi to pretend as if they can't say or do anything that wouldn't make things worse especially when many people have told them directly what they expect. It's not right for them to put in no effort because apologizing and accountability goes against the agenda that they're a victim of supposedly unwarranted online harassment.

The double down was frustrating to see and I'm disappointed that they can't put in the same effort to making things right. I'm not even directly involved either and previously had little to no personal ties with any parties, so I don't appreciate the excuse that Suvi only can address what directly relates to them (aside from platforming defense for a groomer...). It's just the right thing to uplift your voices so you can get proper closure and ensure a community safe from your groomer. Anyone can do it, regardless of relation.

You did what you could. I know it's frustrating, but them choosing ignorance when information is served to them on a silver platter further shows that you were right in your discomfort. They exhibit a lack of integrity that does not deserve the community they feel entitled to. Thank you for speaking up and making your experiences known so others can be further aware of who to avoid. I certainly don't want to be around anyone who behaves so brazenly in response to real life sexual abuse victims, and despite the loud opposition, I know many others feel the same way. Those who are so careless in assuming this is only about proship and didn't bother to read yours and the other testimonies don't deserve the time either. If they can't put in the bare minimum of researching before commenting, that just shows their selfishness, unwillingness to be good people, and -less importantly- cheapens any content they would make. Why waste your time on someone who doesn't bother to properly interact with source material to be more insightful with their thoughts? It's the bare minimum. Sweeping real experiences of grooming under the rug is unforgivable. Nothing of value is lost.

I'm glad you're firm on not forgiving. You don't owe forgiveness especially when it's undeserved. You don't need to forgive to heal. You're right to feel frustrated, but in time you will grow around the scar. Please always remember that you are more than this and your identity as a victim.
