A refuge

Lee, 35, He/Him. Art, queerness, fandom, kink, gaming and sadly some edgelordery because the goth thing was decidedly no phase.

Hey all! Lee, 35, he/him, resident unhinged elf and chess guy.

I am LeetheVix on ao3, writing an ongoing FeaNolvo very-longfic, falling under the "Fëanor survives" category: -The magnum opus, Light Splintered and Sewn -Also a Fëanor/Lalwen/Fingolfin in all configurations , one-shot. -A FeaNolvo one-shot about duels, scars and horny violence. -A brief Russingon where the rescues goes worse. -An Ambrussa/Argon where the twins are one consciousness. -And an explicit FeaNolvo one-shot in a masquerade setting. -A very perished dove, Manwë/Finarfin. - Fingolfin/Anairë, dubcon, Fingolfin swears the Oath. Be warned, I write dark themes, including incest.

-I also paint! Here are Maedhros. And Maglor. And Fingon. Miriel. -Here are Fëanor and another, more recent Fëanor. -An older Fingolfin, a more recent Fingolfin, a Fingolfin about to duel. -Galadriel. -Finarfin. -Turgon. -Caranthir. -Aredhel. - Finrod. -Luthien. And also a sketchy sketch of Elu Thingol. Celebrian/Elrond. -Miriel's brother, a minor OC from Light. -Anairë. -Lalwen. -A Fëanor/Fingolfin kiss, which is old/bad and needs re-doing.

-Hot takes and asks about the Valar, Fëanor, Tolkien gender, Indis, my fic, and a million more things go under the tag he rants. Feel free to hit up my asks and DMs!

some post-Thangorodrim stockings

I wrote two stocking fics that explored the immediate aftermath of the rescue of Maedhros from Thangorodrim.

for @zealouswerewolfcollector, who requested Fingon/Maglor: Sweet (0.9k, Mature, past Russingon, no actual Maedhros/Maglor but their vibe is super codependent and boundaryless if you feel me).

It was as Maedhros drifted off, in his last waking moments, that he returned to Maglor’s mind, at the most inopportune time. Maglor was thinking about fucking Fingon on a blanket in the woods under the light of the silvery moon. Hmm, thought Maedhros.

for @beatles4ever65, 28 Yéni Later (1.1k, Teen, Fingon/Madhros):

Fingon rescues Maedhros, but it's a zombie apocalypse.

leaping flame in hand (Chapter One)

He saw the guilt on their faces every time they caught themselves, that knife-sharp regret that tainted every moment spent in his company. So no, he could not blame them for not asking him to stay. He hoped that they, in turn, did not blame him for leaving. Even if abandoning them for a wintry wasteland felt as though he was punishing them for being afraid.

The Amlach/Maedhros fic I've been talking about for ages (well part one of two at least). Have you ever met two people who are both fucked up in different ways and are processing it in the worst way possible (or almost worse)? That's them. Also I'm holding @nycterisg responsible for putting this ship in my brain

I would say someone needs to get them help but I think they're fun like this.

Here are my @silmarillionstockings 2025 writings, now revealed.

A Smattering of Eldarin Unwellness (chaptered collection)

  • 1. For @queerofthedagger E, Maedhros/Fingolfin Post-rescue, a frustrated, mute Maedhros and a resentful Fingolfin make some horrible decisions. Toxic fucking ensues. .
  • 2. For @balrogballs T, Gen Atarincë helps sack Alqualondë and all he gets is this damned splinter. Balls made amazing art for it! .
  • 3. For @fatbishonen E, Ambarussa-cest (perished dove) Some awful post-Losgar sex that's all about the lines of self/Other and the abomindable relief of sadomasochism. .
  • 4. For @melestasflight M, Fingon/Aegnor (Gen-ish) Two bright monsters slay Gûrsh, the misfortunate Orc. .
  • 5. For @angamaite-der-ritter, M, Amrod/Celegorm (one-sided) Celegorm knows Amrod wants (to be) him. He will take ruthless advantage to push forth his political agenda. .
  • 6. For @dying-suffering-french-stalkers, M, FëaÑolvo King Finarfin demands a post-reembodiment Fëanor do something about Fingolfin's tightly-coiled, highly-functional alcoholism. .
  • 7. For @starshadeemilyart , M, Fingolfin/Lalwen Lalwen has a conversation with her brother in Beleriand. The subject? Emotionally coercing him into an incestuous affair.

For @jumclia Chapter 1/3, FëaÑolvo, M,

The unrest swells, yet Fëanáro and Ñolofinwë must co-operate to find and coax out their youngest sons, who have ran off.

Two bitter, stressed men riding alone in endless warm prairies leads to some intense conversations, a tension that is perhaps becoming a little suspect, and some— reassessments.

How was he to avoid Fëanáro? To not slide back relentlessly to this awful, chafing hyperawareness, this compulsive regression back to him - his fine nose and steely brow - when there was little else at all, around them? The lowland offered nothing. Although he knew they pushed ahead still he felt the leagues unpassing, the distance a recalcitrant coil folded over itself, the same dozen hooffalls again and again; he and Fëanáro incarcerated, in a circular gaol built of each other's presence.
"Those indeed among the Sindar who were unfriendly to the Noldor attributed their supremacy in the arts and lore to their learning from Melkor-Morgoth. This was a falsehood, coming itself ultimately from Morgoth; though it was not without any foundation (as the lies of Morgoth seldom were). But the great gifts of the Noldor did not come from the teaching of Melkor. Feanor the greatest of them all never had any dealings with Melkor in Aman, and was his greatest foe. (The War of Jewels)

I absolutely adore every time any Tolkien text talks about Melkor using the fake narratives to his advantage. How masterfully he sowed distrust among his enemies, and how his lies were almost always grounded in a small percentage of truth. Because that’s the most effective way to make disinformation believable, and propaganda works exactly like that in real life, too.

I always feel offended on Melkor’s behalf when people say that only Mairon was the smart, patient villain capable of fooling his enemies through deception and manipulation, when we actually have plenty of references to Melkor doing the exact same thing!

From his time in Valinor all the way to the end of the First Age, he did it at every single opportunity, with both Elves and Men. Give him some credit for thattttttt.

(Also, Mairon was definitely learning the art of deception from his master in the first place.)

Auguste Rodin’s powerfully expressive figure of Adam was originally intended to be paired with a sculpture of Eve, flanking a sculptured bronze portal commissioned by the French government for the Musée de Arts Décoratifs, Paris. For this monumental undertaking, which he entitled The Gates of Hell, Rodin turned to past Italian masters. Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam fresco on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Rome (1508–12) inspired the pose of Rodin’s subject. Rodin rotated Michelangelo’s reclining Adam and transferred the frescoed figure’s gesture of receiving life from God to the sculpture’s right arm. The exaggerated turn of Adam’s left arm comes from Michelangelo’s sculpture of the dead Christ in his Pietà (1548–55; Museo del Duomo, Florence). Rodin chose the portal’s theme from Dante’s fourteenth-century epic poem Inferno; here Adam’s agonized body strikingly conveys the sufferings caused by original sin. Although the museum building was never constructed and the portal was not completed as originally conceived, Rodin explored the expressive potential of the human body as few artists before him had dared. As independent statues, Adam and Eve are among the commission’s numerous progeny. Not until 1938 was the gate cast in bronze and placed at the entrance to the grounds of the Musée Rodin, Paris. Gift of Robert Allerton Size: 198.1 × 73.7 cm (78 × 29 in.); base: 76.2 × 73.7 cm (30 × 29 in.) Medium: Bronze with dark brown patina
