Dawg call me crazy but there is like a difference between just making an AU to age up certain character and an AU where certain characters are aged up because thats accualy apart of the story and it's continuity and there night and day scenarios
"Cuphead and mugman are children in the og game" yeah pretty much everyone agrees on that, they were either teens or kids
But thats apart of the continuity in most AU's- like in most places people agree that the game happened years ago and the cup brothers are now adults, while it does open different shipping options it's rarely done just for that like are you hearing yourself?
Most AU's explore their story further that way, if you look at the game as their backstory there is alot to unpack there, and what happened to the devil after they defeated him? Like it's the devil they didn't beat his ass for good something must have happened further down the line like are we gotta explore that??
Alot of the time they still work for the devil if the game happened years ago what are they doing now? Are they still send out to kill people who haven't returned with the contracts? What happened to the elder kettle? How does inkwell look like now?
What people do with the cup brothers is expand their characters and that includes making them age as the story goes, what yall are getting pissed at is the equivalent of a character in a book series not staying 16 forever and aging as the story goes witch is 10x weirder and if youre Gross enough to suggest bendy staw is a proship????? Yeah dude youre insane.
I don't even ship bendystraw! And I view bendy as a grown man, but the thing about him is his age is almost painfully up to interpretation like- in the games he's depicted as very young- in the shorts it's ambigous- in the comics again it's ambigious does anyone remember how much of a debatę it used to be before everyone and I mean EVERYONE agreed he's beasicly ageless so debate is useless and interpretations are the way to go?
Some of yall need to man up say "wow i dont like that thing it makes me uncomfortable" block the tag, block the people then move on because youre just making shit up to make yourself feel better then others

Anyways I've seemed to have gotten really into Myth of The Machine and being as chronically online as I am, I wanted to see everyone else's guess on this.
I've noticed that there seems to be bad blood between Felix and Oswald, and there's many reasons why they have such a complicated relationship. Plus there's only two(-ish) chapters out so of course we don't have too much information.
But still I want to see what others have to say on their relationship.

Felix deserves more love and attention from Dreamworks and other companies than what he’s getting right now.
It’s awesome that the fans are picking up the slack and using him for great fan stories on Tumblr, like Myth of The Machine and the very recent Celebritoons AU to name a few, but I feel pretty bummed that he’s only being used for apparel, backpacks, and bags and such for merchandise, nothing more than that.
Felix as a character has a lot more potential to be in projects. He could be used in crossovers, comics, and maybe even a few cameos like in American Dad or South Park for example that he’s been in recently.
He may be an old timer in modern times, but I still have faith that he’s still got some charm in him left that can be used to entertain modern viewers and make an impact. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have had the dedicated fanbase to make all of the fan stories that are inspiring and compelling to audiences alike.
If anything else, since he’s in the public domain now, he could even be used for an independent animated project or something like that? That would be pretty cool, and it would show the companies that they don’t really know their audiences very well, since they’ve been barely using Felix at all lately to make him more relevant in mainstream media.
Anyway, that was quite a ramble. But I’m glad I got that out, since it’s been on my mind a lot lately. Hopefully, this resonates with other Felix fans who feel similarly to how I feel and I hope they feel some sort of solidarity from this.
