I’ve been slowly working on illustrating my own Tarot deck about black cats.

I have a long way to go, but I’m nearly done with the major arcana.

Here are some of my favorites:

I set myself a design challenge (as I often do). I wanted to limit the color palette and the brush styles to create a very consistent look.

And since each card focuses on black cats, it forces me to think deeply about symbolism and design to make sure the meaning of each card is clear and each design is unique.

But there’s still a lot of variety coming through. It’s not all class, or all silliness - just like cats

I’m so happy with how both of these two managed to feel dark, but adorable at the same time.

Most of these used my own feline friends for reference.

There are more but I don’t know yet how many I want to share online. If I can actually complete the entire deck I would love to have it made. But I have a ways to go, so for now I continue to chip away, one card at a time.

it sickens me that there are so many men that simply never engage with anything made by women and they don't question it and they aren't questioned about it. they don't listen to music by women or read books written by women or watch movies written and directed by women or stop to look at paintings by women at museums and they're just allowed to go thru life never considering women as artists with no challenge or criticism whatsoever. meanwhile as a woman it's impossible to escape the male artistic point of view

"Larian should handle the next Dragon Age game" Going off how they handled Baldur's Gate 3 if they handled a game like Dragon Age: Origins, they would release the game and then get people complaining about how they shouldn't HAVE to lose Alistair as a companion completely just because they spared Loghain because now they have to do 2 separate playthroughs and also their character has to face consequences for a decision. 5 patches later you can suddenly have both Alistair and Loghain on your team. And 2 patches ago they made it so Anora actually doesn't mind if you replace her on the throne with your friend because he has noble blood, because people complained that she shouldn't mind. And then in patch 13 Morrigan suddenly has half her dialogue replaced because players found her too mean. They don't know what to do with Sten at all so they remove his personal quest in Patch 2. Instead of developing the themes of Oghren's character further he's cut completely because dwarf companion. Due to popular demand they added Bella from the tavern and Cullen as companions and it goes as well as you expect. Your origin also has no impact on the rest of the game except you get a handful of dialogue options that are sometimes funny. In Patch 14 they change Bann Teagan's hairstyle, only to patch it back to his original hairstyle in Patch 15 because everyone hated it. In Patch 15 they give Dog fur, only to patch it away in Patch 16 because everyone hated it. Patch 44 has everyone reunite for a party at Arl Eamon's place for some reason. Everyone is playing a different version of the game because it has changed so dramatically between early access and Patch 743. You can fuck Morrigan when she shapeshifts into a spider at full release though.
