I was just looking at some things and i noticed the scrub room leads right into radars office/bedroom which leads into potters office and out the double doors to the compound so how does the layout work here. Pre op, OR, post op, scrub room, potters office are all in a line with door connecting them? And we know post op has a door on either side one of which leads directly out to the compound too. So its post op pre op OR scrub room radar/potters office. And sometimes theres another room that goes from outside into pre op without going through post op. Theres also that little hallway space between pre and peri op with the little benches and a side/back door. And sometimes theres big white stairs that Your Beautiful Wife descends in a lovely green dress and you dance with her before youre called back to surgery and she floats away and you dont even look back at her. But that last one might have been a dream.
I think Charles has a deeply affectionate infatuation with Klinger that's equal parts Platonic and Romantic but hes too big of a repressed snob to do anything about it.
They could be best friends, they could be lovers, but instead hes just gonna bully him a little bit more gently than he bullies everyone else around them and hope he Understands.
The way hes like ‘who is that… creature’ but it sounds more awestruck than disgusted okaaaay charles. I like that he calls him max too. I mean a lot of that is disrespect sure but it sort of comes around to affection doesnt it.
oh also my hot charles take. he is an elite republican homosexual obvi. In rally round the flagg i truly believe he thinks flagg is cruising him when he calls him to come over to the bins by the mess tent. and he's willing to see where it goes. there's something very funny to me about hawkeye and bj having a tortured sublimated emotional love affair while charles is quietly sucking and fucking his way through the complex social scene of the US military's homosexual underground

CHAZZ BABY LETS GO Theee biggest gulf between character likability and actor lovabilty. should i meet charles on the street I would spit on him, yet i would kill and die for DOS, every moment he is on screen is a gift i simply clap and smile and sigh. there is something so light in his delivery - the way a ballerina is light, the way a boxer floats like a butterfly, he is so talented he makes it look easy and spontaneous and natural to make all those ridiculous noises charles as a character works so well for me bc he is like the perfect incarnation of the cognitive dissonance of the wealthy. you are a smart man, you know you have plenty while others do not, the only way this cannot mean the world is an unjust terrible place is if you deserve it while the have-nots don't. charles can recognise on an indiviudal level that his best frenemies are good and smart and the travelling circus of generals and rich buffoons suck but he keeps trying to put his faith in the system as a whole. the rest of the show is a series of cymbols crashing over his head saying YOUR WEALTH CANNOT SAVE YOU, YOUR PRIVILEGE CANNOT SAVE YOU, YOUR CLASS CANNOT SAVE YOU you cannot be clever or sophisticated or rich enough to escape human suffering on this level.. yummmmmm yumm
YESSS this is what was interesting to me seeing him fold to potter's directions when he pulls rank like he really will revert to following some sort of order or system of authority because those systems are what give him the life he has and the chip on his shoulder and the privilege he enjoys every single day. he understands hes in a machine but thinks his status makes him shinier than all the other cogs. yknow another bit cut out of the HD version is when BJ and hawkeye walk in as the elderly woman is cleaning his side of the swamp and they ask who she is and he says 'a dollar a day'. YEEEESH!!! really excited to rewatch all the tiny ways he reveals his imperfections and little kidisms he has and all the new sizes his grinch heart grows to #CHARLESFROMMASH
