Subject: Collecting money for my mother's operation

Current process :

USD 8,616 / $9,816

Hello my friends, thank you for donating my father's operation, the operation was successful, and his eye is now fine, as I also told you, my mother was injured, and she must have an analysis and surgery on her leg, she took an X-ray and the doctor told her that she needs an operation in her leg and the cost of the operation is $1200, it must be collected within 6 days, we can do that, help me, my friends

The most frustrating part of being trans is that you can't win.

My uni has quite a few all-gender washrooms. (Specifically all-gender, cis people are absolutely encouraged to use them). And despite the fact that there are womens washrooms everywhere on campus as well, I've had cis women treat me with borderline disgust when I use the all-gender bathroom. I've had people tell me that "sure, its all genders, but when a cis man uses it its just weird".

And like. Thats the point! Even IF a cishet man using a washroom he is specifically allowed in was weird. Even then. You have to understand that no trans or nonbinary person can safely use an all-genders washroom if using it means they are either trans or female.

Like to be very clear- I am a cis-passing trans man. There are so many reasons I feel more comfortable in a non-gendered washroom. Even if I was cis I woild likely want to, because I am gnc and don't always feel safe in purely male spaces. And even if I was the cissest, hetesst, most gender conforming man on the planet, I might still want to use it because its closer to my classes.

And really, this all comes back to this deeply transmisoginistic idea that Men Are A Threat to Women in Womens Washrooms,, which. If I have to explain to you why this is purely a propagandistic falsehood I really think you need to do a gender 101 course.

Gender neutral washrooms cannot be "women Lite washrooms". In order to protect trans people, at all stages of coming out and transition and of all presentations, for the love of god stop dictating who can use all-gender washrooms.

I feel like people are missing the Very Important reference picture and that's just criminal. Clearly if you look at the dog that inspired the piece, you would understand the inherent validity of the voters' choice.

Thank you for that addition but I assure you we all already understood the the validity of the voters choice

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

The fundraiser organizer for Hazem Mohammed Al-Baradweel has NOT given Hazem the money he was owed.

His name is Mohammed Al Amarein, and I will be looking for any other fundraisers he might be organizing that have been put on our list to place them on a suspicion watch. I have already altered the listing for this fundraiser to reflect its nature.

REPORT THE FUNDRAISER BELOW, IT IS VERY CLOSE TO COMPLETION BUT THIS INDIVIDUAL REFUSES TO COOPERATE:

PLEASE VERIFY WHETHER OR NOT YOU'VE DONATED TO THIS FUNDRAISER, IF YOU HAVE, REQUEST A REFUND ASAP AND REPORT THE FUNDRAISER:

DO NOT DELAY ACTION BECAUSE HE MIGHT TAKE DOWN THE FUNDRAISER AS SOON AS HE GETS NOTICE HE'S GETTING REPORTED AND THE MONEY IS BEING REFUNDED.

If Hazem manages to get a new organizer for his fundraiser I will keep you updated so you can redirect your funds there.

HERE'S THE LINK TO THE NEW FUNDRAISER!! If you would like to help please redirect your refunds to this fundraiser!!

Also I've said this before but advertising is an industry that should be considered as pointless and harmful as fossil fuels.

"as harmful as fossil fuels? don't you think you're exaggerating a bit?" the world's largest and most sophisticated surveillance networks that gather incomprehensible amounts of personal data to make profits technological companies who are the largest corporations on the world and shapers of public opinion often for the worse, all do it for advertising.

Cut the head, just ban advertising.

The US literally invented the playbook by invading Iraq 2 decades ago and keeping it under occupation for nearly a decade after that (and it still is under occupation really, what with US troops still strewn throughout the country)—and we still have people thinking that their every pro-Israeli move isn’t made with the very intention of killing Arabs, as they historically have in the past. Get serious.

What’s even more is I’ve had to watch historians and politicians and US soldiers show their saccharine remorse by stating that the Iraqi war was “a colossal mistake” “a massive military blunder” “we should’ve never gone there.” 1 million Iraqis were killed—and that’s just out of what’s confirmed. The numbers of those forced to flee their homes go as high as 3 million. My mom was one of the Iraqis who had to make the hard decision of leaving her country because she didn’t want us raised in an unsafe environment. And all it is is a “blunder.” Just a military blunder. Iraq has literally been ruined and it’s a blunder.

This will be how Palestine gets covered like a decade from now btw. Millions dead and/or displaced, and it’s watered down to a “military blunder” that “should have never happened.” It’s not like that kind of coverage has stopped the US from continuously leeching off Iraq to this very day anyway. Now there are Arabs like me who never got to live and grow up in their home country, and I’m already getting misgivings from my family about visiting again because of the “unstable state in the Middle East.” We can never enjoy our culture in peace. It literally never ends.

If you listen to this testimony you'll understand why documenting sexual violence against women in Palestinian society is not as heavily talked about as sexual violence against men. A lot of women are told/pressured not to say anything if they are sexually assaulted by Israelis because of the social implications against themselves and the male members of the family.

Sometimes women are not allowed to leave their villages without men in Palestine, like my grandmother couldn't leave without her dad or brother while she was in Palestine but outside it she freely came and went where ever. My other grandma left her village and studied as a nurse in Palestine but only because she was with her sisters and brother. Even in the 90's my mom, who freely went out of Amman and even dormed outside of Amman, where her parents lived, she had to go with her younger brother to visit Jerusalem (the only time she ever went to Palestine as an adult) because her family was so scared she would be in danger from Israelis.

Like it's an unspoken knowledge that Israelis can and will sexually assault you at checkpoints or just randomly and no one even cared for 75 years, which is why talking about how israelis face sexual assault from Palestinians is so bewildering because it's like a complete reversal of reality. Even my parents are worried to let me visit Palestine with an American passport because they dont want something to happen to me at a checkpoint. It's so shocking to me that no one cares about the sexual violence Palestinians face when it permeates literally every aspect of Palestinian society.

i'll never forget in 2020 when covid really broke out and the cbc discovered that most canadian hospitals and businesses were sourcing their PPE from factories run on slave labour by undocumented refugees in malaysia

also when canada was shipping all its garbage to malaysia to offload the environmental impact where it would be burned in these garbage burning factories + pollute the water and air in malaysia, and when malaysia stopped accepting the garbage and turned it back it became a diplomatic incident
