I personally think it’s shitty to put a trans woman in a callout post because she was venting about the fact her ex (who just so happened to be a transgender man) was abusive towards her. It’s shitty in general, because y’all punish women for something that a man did, yet you don’t seem to care about the fact that the only person making them look bad is the men themselves.

If an abuse victim wants to say she hates all men (yes, including trans men) that’s her right, and it’s fucked up that she was punished for being rightfully afraid and wary.

This just reminds me of how all the victims of R.Kelly, Chris Brown, Diddy, Epstein, etc. were all essentially ostracized and villanized by the media + fans because they came forward about the abuse they suffered. None of that vitriol was directed towards the grown men who trafficked, beat, and raped young girls and women, some as young as teenagers; it was all the woman’s fault, she was asking for it, she just wanted attention.

And then people wonder why women and girls don’t come forward sooner. It’s because they’re punished for speaking out, and worse their pain is turned into jokes.

yesterday i got the opportunity to speak with a prolific DEI consultant in the games industry. i asked her about what transfems could do in the event they start to become discriminated against within a work environment (something that has already happened to me twice, resulting in me having to leave both projects). her answer was simply to leave as soon as it starts to happen.
