Debating on changing Esme pregnancy from totally unplanned to one planned but as an exchange that she misunderstands.
Alastor: You wish to use my shadow?
Alastor: That’s very… I mean to say I’d need…
Esme: No? You won’t help? It’s only for a bit. A spy to help see what’s going on. Please, I’ll do just about anything.
Alastor: …. A child is required
Alastor: One from you and I.
Esme: …. That sounds like a great thing to ask in exchange for using your shadow.
Alastor: My shadow is apart of me. If you wish to use a part of me, I should get a part of you.
Esme: I need a moment to reflect on this.
Alastor: Take your time. (It doesn’t matter. You’ll never say yes)
Esme does agree and brings books on how she thinks it could work. He sighs. Of course she’d look to magic instead of the easier path. Plus, she still doesn’t understand what his sexuality is.
Alastor: You’ll need a part of me inside you for this.
Alastor: Or other bodily things, yes.
Esme: And does it matter what it is or-
Alastor: The more intimate the longer your control will be.
Esme: And it’s also how I collect it?
Alastor: Hmmmm, I’m not sure on that. It would need testing.
Esme: Oooooo so it’s best if I carry the child instead of just create it from bones and dirty.
Alastor: I adore thar your mind went there first. It is both painfully respectful and insulting at the same time.
Esme: I need your shadow now tho. Making a child in other ways will take too long.
Alastor: We can agree to the term and price and exchange what is needed for some control in the meantime.
Esme: Hmmm, I don’t really like the taste of blood. Can it not be blood?
Alastor rubbing his forehead: It’s very insulting you think of that when exchanging saliva is an option
Esme: why would that be an option? You don’t enjoy that sort of thing and I’m not the kind to be pushy.
Alastor: … just kiss me before I change my mind
