I’m so over some of my coworkers. One of them just made a snide comment about how our pregnant coworker put a more expensive diaper brand on her registry when “the Christmas diapers are $7 at Walmart” okay and she also doesn’t celebrate Christmas…

I know they’re just gonna be shit in all the same but she’s also not the bad guy for wanting a specific brand.

#this person is older than me too#the amount of people I work with that have no manners or etiquette or any knowledge of stuff like that#we went to a wedding last year and I had to tell her and her guest to take their winter coats off during the indoor ceremony

George R. R. Martin was right when he said aspiring writers should write fic. Not because of struggling to write original stuff later on but because so many fic readers are nasty.

Idk if I’ll ever complete my current series but I also don’t really want to keep them up because of how many assholes are feeding uncompleted fics into AI.

Next year I want to devote pretty much all my writing time to my original fic and as much as I love and appreciate all my mutuals and readers I’ve met here I want to spend more time with my irl friends.

Idk…

Coming on to say I am alive, I'm just working on other things including my final project for school. It's literally my last week before graduation 🥳. I did find this youtube channel that has over 600 videos, most of which seem to be silent films from late 19th, early 20th century.

I hate how anytime you saw SHEIN or temu are like objectively evil companies that contribute to labor violations, overconsumption and pollution there’s always one person that’s like “it’s the only place that sells clothes for my three legged dog! Where else am I supposed to go?” Like idk but does your dog really need clothes?

#literally everyone who defends themselves is overconumming clothing anyways#like I get it I thrift and it’s all SHEIN anyways but the amount of random bullshit that permeates every inch of retail#everything is just the landfill store now

I have unfortunately once again fallen in love with a set of vintage penguin books and am cursed because the only sellers are in the UK or AUS so I must pay $20 in shipping if I want

update: I have was able to track down 2 at reasonable prices. I'm currently trying to figure out all of the books published in this series but I will now reveal.

They are the Iris Murdoch books with covers by Harri Peccinotti.
