it's January 2026

January is really just about planting seeds. You’re not supposed to have everything figured out right now and that’s oke . Think of this month as laying things down quietly habits, intentions, boundaries without needing proof that they’ll work. Nothing grows the moment you plant it, but that doesn’t mean nothing is happening.

2026 : #4 the guide to feeling less messed up inside !
If life feels boring, it’s not because nothing exists anymore it’s because everything you consume looks the same. Same trends, same opinions, same jokes, recycled until ur brain forgets how to think on its own. When millions of people wake up and immediately let algorithms decide what they see, what they like, and even how they should look, boredom becomes inevitable. A mind that only consumes never creates, questions, or explores, so it mistakes mental stagnation for a “bad life.” 💌

1. ask yourself ♡˖

as I said , u say you’re sad u say life is boring u say everything feels heavy and pointless but ask yourself fr :

Can you go ten minutes without saying "67" or repeating the same five phrases you heard online ? Can u wear something without needing to see if it's a famous brand on social media Can you watch a 50min video without needing to skip ? Can you stop refreshing, checking, tapping or does your hand move before your brain decides? Can you write, read, study, or exist without needing to check if they texted u ? Can you be alone without feeling empty ? Can you feel bored without panicking? ARE YOU REAL GIRL ?

If the answer is no, then the issue isn’t that life is bad it’s that your brain has been trained to need constant stimulation. A brain addicted to speed, sugar, trends, and noise will always experience real life as dull, slow, and unbearable. THAT'S BRAIN FOG.

2. let's start with the important parts ♡♡˖

- sleep schedule : If u feel constantly bad, unfocused, or emotionally unstable, the first thing to look at is your sleep. Sleeping too little or oversleeping messes with your mood, attention, and self-control and ur beautiful face . So before blaming life, school, or yourself, check whether you’re actually resting ! like girl u block time to go out with friends, to scroll, to do everything else so u can block a bedtime too. Waking up early means nothing if you’re sleeping at 3 a.m. You don’t get discipline points for suffering. If you want better mornings, start with earlier nights. & let's be hoonest most people don’t stay up late because of schoolwork. They stay up because they avoid it, then scroll, snack, and distract themselves until it’s suddenly 2 a.m. School becomes the excuse not the reason so those “five minutes before bed” on your phone always turn into hours eeeevery single time. u are not controlled by your hand or your phone u are controlled by habits you refuse to question giiirl . Put the phone away turn it off. Decide a specific time to sleep and treat it like a real commitment it's all about consistencyyyy start small , two nights a week then three routine comes from repetition, not motivation once your sleep stabilizes, your focus improves, your mood calms down, and suddenly life doesn’t feel as unbearable and the brain fog start to disappear at least 30% !

- clean eating : If you’re living on snacking and you know exactly what I mean by snacking high sugar, random processed stuff, energy drinks, ramen, "supermarket" fast food, all that .. u cannot tell me you feel good mentally I’m not talking about calories or dieting I don’t care about that I’m talking about health n mental health included. What you do to your body shows up in your mind , ur gut health affects your brain whether you like it or not and I can literally prove it I spent more than a week running on caffeine three cups a day, morning, afternoon, evening with bad sleep and no real meals I wasn’t productive I was depressed like deeply that foggy, heavy feeling where your head doesn’t want to move that's what we call it "body crashing" like girl u’re not made of platinum u’re human u need actual nutrients and don’t say “I don’t have money for healthy food.” that bag of chips and 5 snacks you bought could’ve been eggs, rice, a salad, even sardines. Clean food doesn’t mean expensive it means real stuff your body recognizes cuz when you eat clean, your brain gets healthy dopamine not quick ones that fade in less than an hour . less fog = better focus = calmer emotions = better days. So before you say life is bad ask yourself if you’re even giving your body what it needs to function !

- take brain cleaning walks : One of my main habits for 2026 an I actually started at the end of 2025 is Saturday walks and yes I’m gonna say it: most of you are just lazy about going outside. “I’m busy.” “I don’t have time.” giiirl twenty minutes , thirty minutes even an hour . That is still better than sitting at home scrolling on boring-ass reels for three hours and then asking why your life feels bad. You don’t go out and then you’re surprised you feel empty be serious. “I don’t have money.” be grateful u have two legs And if you have like two dollars, go buy something small from a bakery a croissant, a sweet treat. . Go experience real life for once in a cafe sit on a bench idk u’re missing so much. the sky is beautiful If you don’t like crowded places, go in the morning. u don’t like mornings? go in the afternoon.u don’t like the sun? go before sunset there is always a moment that works you just don’t want to look for it. put good music in your ears and walk. Nobody cares how you look. I go out in a huge fluffy jacket that makes my head look tiny and I do not care. I love cold Saturday mornings I love the calm and every time I walk, my mind clears I calm down before the day starts. Stop making excuses ur brain needs air

So when you finally fix your sleep, your gut health, and your habit of going outside, don’t be surprised when your brain starts clearing things start to change u think better u breathe better and that’s what happens when your body stops being neglected.

so rn we can talk about social media, comparison, and how all of that is killing your creativity .

3.Social media,comparison & creativity ♡♡♡˖

I don’t really know where to start with this topic because it touches everything personality, aesthetics, confidence, knowledge, even how you think. So I’m just going to talk honestlyyy

I strongly recommend reducing social media. I’m not saying this in a “delete everything and disappear” way I’m saying this as someone who basically stopped consuming it in 2022 It’s 2026 now and the change was real I didn’t suddenly become perfect I became mine I became me . I found my own interests, my own passions, my own way of thinking, without someone else feeding it to me. I stopped comparing myself because there was nothing left to compare to . Social media was extremely bad for me , stopping it is still the most successful decision I’ve made so far .

When you reduce social media, your brain finally shuts up. u stop repeating random sounds, trends, jokes, and aesthetics that aren’t even yours. u stop being influenced by whatever the algorithm throws at you skincare videos telling you your acne is a problem, outfit videos telling you how to dress to be “acceptable” at school, beauty content literally built to make you feel ugly so it can sell you solutions. & fr those videos target insecure people on purpose. Especially girls who just want someone to tell them how to stop being “ugly” at school. But there is no such thing as ugly what exists is overexposure to your own face and constant comparison. Humans were never meant to analyze their reflection every single day next to thousands of edited faces online. Of course you end up hating yourself and u want to change to be them . So you copy , u copy makeup that looked good on someone else. u copy outfits chosen by an algorithm. u copy music tastes , u copy trends because someone told you, “This is what looks good.” And then you wear it, it doesn’t suit you, you feel uncomfortable, people comment, and suddenly you’re spiraling again and again thinking you’re “not like other girls.” No girl u’re just not that girl and that’s fine and that's okey omg

Copying will never make you confident , ever , ’m saying this as someone who’s been there.

Confidence comes from discovering what works for you. ur own signature perfume ur own makeup style ur own clothes ur own way of existing. Sometimes people won’t like it and that’s exactly how you know it’s yours and funny enough, that’s when people start asking, “Where did you get that?” because originality stands out way more than perfection. Social media kills creativity by replacing exploration with imitation. It tells you who to be before you even get the chance to find out reducing it gives your brain space to think, to imagine, to create, and to build an identity that isn’t borrowed ! People always tell me “But social media is helpful.” And yes sometimes maybe 30% helpful. The other 70% is just ads , marketing, trends designed to copy-paste humans. Before TikTok and before Instagram became what it is now people were different u could walk into a room and actually see personalities Now ?!??! I literally walked into a 11th g class once and every girl had slicked-back hair and the same outfit. And then people say, “Everyone copies me.” No. You’re all copying the same algorithm , half of the people wearing the “xyz” aesthetic don’t even feel good in it they keep checking their reflection. “Do I look good?” “Do I look pretty?”If you were comfortable, you wouldn’t need to ask. The constant doubt is your body telling you this isn’t you.

So no you don’t need to become someone else to be accepted u need to stop letting algorithms decide who you are to reduce that brain fog ! So..

know yourself :

Start a diary to actually meet yourself. Write like you’re talking to a friend because that friend is you , ask yourself the things you’re too distracted or scared to ask anyone else .

look for authors, thinkers, or artists you actually connect with. Not because they have the same personality type or because they’re “trending,” but because their way of thinking makes sense to you. Notice how wise people live their routines, their habits, the way they handle life not influencers selling “self-love” with filtered faces and IMPOSSIBLE lifestyles. This will improve ur focuuuus

Other things that actually help ⑅𑂳⠀ ⠀ᜓ⠀⠀

🪽 try stuff you’ve never done : pick up a random skill, try a hobby, or even watch something weirdly interesting. u don’t need to be good at it. u just need to see if it sparks something inside you.

🪽 step away from mindless scrolling : even thirty minutes can feel like a whole new day. Read, listen, think let your brain have something real to chew onnn girl

🪽 pay attention to how you feel : When are you energized? When are you drained? Write it down. It sounds simple, but noticing patterns is huge.

🪽 ask yourself why : why do you feel insecure? Why do you compare yourself? Dig a little , Understanding your reactions is how you stop being ruled by them.

🪽 do small creative things : Draw, write, make music, take photos . Little acts of creation build your identity.

🪽 celebrate what feels right to you : Wear it, do it, say it because it makes you happy . Confidence grows when you honor your choices.

When your happiness depends on someone else’s presence 100%, u give them full control over your mental state, and that’s unhealthy no matter how romantic it looks. The truth is happiness and love are not exclusive to achievements or people. They exist in small, ordinary moments we overlook because we’re obsessed with “more.” You can feel happy because the sky looks beautiful, because the weather is perfect, because your favorite place isn’t crowded, because you’re watching a comfort show, or even because you’re eating something you love , c'monnnnnn .

✒️ : I woke up around 6:50am journaled and made a nourishing breakfast, i drank a lot of tea it’s kind of my emotional support drink lately cuz it was raining and I really loved the vibe . I spent some time organizing my thoughts and study material for my two French exams . I took a nap & woke up around 3 p.m., had lunch, and studied French for about an hour working on two practice essays. Later I went out for a short walk to the supermarket, then came back and studied for another two hours. I don’t feel fully confident yet but I’m doing okay. Tomorrow, I plan to study more to prepare better especially to avoid stressing out with my upcoming Arabic exams as well !

2026 : #3 create ur own identity : personality, aesthetic, knowledge
let's talk about personality

u've heard about "cool girls" and "coquette girls" "clean girls" and everyone supposedly having their vibe and their aesthetic. But here's what nobody's telling you, and this is where it gets interesting: aesthetic and personality are NOT the same thing. Like u've probably never actually sat down with yourself and asked yourself about YOUR OWN personality.

Like think about it. Instead of examining who YOU are, you're out here analyzing everyone else's personality. You're sitting there like "oh, their personality is so good" or "ugh, their vibe is off." But have you ever and I mean EVER actually done a deep analysis of yourself?

Let me ask you something right now like what's your MBTI? What's the emotion you use most frequently? How does your inner voice actually treat u not how you pretend it does on your Instagram stories, but how it REALLY talks to you when you're alone at 2 AM? What's your favorite food? Like aeriously do you actually know? Not what you think you should say, not what's trending on sm , not what you ate last Tuesday but your genuine, authentic favorite food? What about your favorite type of weather? The specific season that makes you feel most alive?

If you're sitting there right now like "um... I don't know," then congratulations you don't actually know yourself. And that's the problem! u NEED to know yourself before you can authentically connect with anyone else.

And I know what you're thinking : "but I have so many different personalities depending on the situation!" No , that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about your AURA that core essence that little ball of concentrated energy inside you that is undeniably, authentically YOU when all the performance falls away . Like if you were an animal, what would you be?

I learned in my philosophy class that literally changed how I see everything : there is this massive, impenetrable wall between you and every other person on this planet. Like, picture an actual wall. No matter what you do, no matter how close you get to someone, they cannot truly know you. u can show them the facade, the carefully curated version, but they don't know the real you. u are the ONLY person who actually knows u.

So if you don't even know yourself? You're basically a stranger living in your own body, making decisions based on what other people might think instead of what you actually want. How insane is that ?

let's get into aesthetics

As you grow up, u naturally start discovering what you're drawn to. Maybe you love pink. Maybe you're obsessed with brown tones. Maybe something completely different. For me , I discovered I'm really into cherry red. Not like, sexy red (cuz when I say I love "reddish" colors they only think about that) or whatever just this specific cherry red tone that makes me feel like ME. And I realized most of my clothes are beige, black, and red because these colors just work together and they work with who I am. But my aesthetic changes with my mood and the season.

When I'm happy? I'm drawn to greens, yellows, oranges those nature vibes, you know? Those colors that just radiate warmth and life. But in winter , give me those cozy warm palettes. Dark blues, deep burgundies . My favorites are cherry red and this specific dark blue like that sky-blue-turning-dark-blue you see right after sunset.

And everyone has these cycles! Sometimes you want to be cute and soft. Sometimes you want to be edgy. Sometimes minimalist, sometimes maximalist. The point isn't to shove yourself into someone else's aesthetic box that you found on social media. The point is to romanticize YOUR OWN life by discovering what actually resonates with YOUR soul & i'm going to say something controversial here : aesthetic is SO important. Like ur aesthetic can be messy! It can be chaotic! It can be perfectly organized or completely spontaneous all of these are valid because you're FREE to create whatever speaks to you.

u know those people who are like "I just can't be organized, I can't maintain an aesthetic"? That's fine! That chaos that CAN BE your aesthetic. Right now, as I'm writing this, my desk is absolutely covered in papers. Notes everywhere. It's a mess and you know what That's my exam season aesthetic. That's the visual representation of a mind that's actively engaged and creating and learning.

So please, PLEASE stop forcing yourself into aesthetics that don't feel like home. You're not supposed to stick with something that makes you uncomfortable just because it looks good in someone else's photos.

read more (but not how you think)

When I say "read more," everyone immediately puts up their defenses. They're like "ugh, I don't have time to read books" or "I'm not a reader." i'm not telling you to go buy a book right this second and force yourself through it. Yes, reading books is valuable but that's not the core of what I'm saying here. When I say read more, I mean genuinely engage with your curiosity. I mean actively research the random questions that pop into your mind. and I don't mean in some boring, pretentious philosophy major way I mean genuinely, authentically being curious about your world.

In the last two months, I've been obsessed with nihilism and existential philosophy because these ideas genuinely fascinate me and help me understand my own thought patterns. I love discovering niche books from different countries and understanding WHY they exist. Like why are most elite Russian novels so incredibly depressing? What historical and cultural context created that entire literary tradition?

Those random questions that pop into your head at 3 AM? Go find the answers. And here's a pro tip: buy a little notebook and write these questions and answers down. Document your intellectual journey. It makes it more real, more tangible, more FUN. Go on Reddit n ask your questions in real communities with real humans. Search for "how can I improve myself" and you'll find THOUSANDS of people sharing genuinely life-changing insights. Perspectives you've never considered. Experiences you can learn from, real human wisdom . your mind becomes a machine for learning and growth (positively)

When you constantly engage your brain in active learning, when u're always processing new information and making connections, you naturally get better at everything. Your studies improve and ur focus get better . Your decision-making sharpens. You REACH THAT FLOW STATE when absorbing information because your brain becomes TRAINED to seek knowledge instead of just passively consuming content the whole time

like, think about it. scrolling through tiktok for three hours , ur brain is in passive mode. It's just receiving , but actively researching something you're curious about ur brain is engaged, making connections, storing information in meaningful ways. that's the difference between being a passenger in your own life and being the driver.
